how long does it needs to ship to bay area after "Dispatched from factory"?

today's status is "Dispatched from factory", wondering when it can arrive at dealer's lot. Thanks.

update on Feb 5,2021: Got an email from dealer saying the car left the process center in SC and is currently in transit to the Richmond center. It is scheduled to arrive on the 19th of February, with customs and inspections occurring, which can take about a week. Hoping it should arrive before months end.

update on Feb 22, 2021: Dealer told me the car is on Richmond, CA and ready ship to dealer

update on Feb 23, 2021: ON dealer site and dealer just asked me when I can pick it up. Happying ....

Mine went to Dispatched from factory on 1/30. I got the bill of lading from the dealer and as of last night it was a a flatbed car in Chattanooga TN. I'm up in the Sacramento area and our dealer said to expect it around the end of the month.

My car has been dispatched from factory few days ago; the dealer sent an email that the car has left SC today and gets to Kansas City in 5 days. The final destination is Alaska. So, I am thinking that the whole trip will take about a month..

I’m also Bay Area. Everything I have seen recently and experience with my last vehicle suggests ~3 weeks. My vehicle gets built next Tuesday, and I’m assuming pick up first week of March.

The vehicle is now in Kentucky. I shouldn't be so obsessed with tracking it....can't be good for my health. Also, why are trains so slow?!

I only checked twice a day, one in the morning, one in the night.

Another nut to list: How did you get tracking info of trucks and where they are presently?

Mine finished QA on 3rd AM and since then says assigned to carrier but not dispatched yet!

Once mine was dispatched I called the dealer and he gave me the bill of lading. I have been calling the Norfolk Southern hotline and use the tracing option (number 2). Then you enter the letters for the rail company (BNSF) in my case, and the last six digits of the main lading number. It's a bit anal, but I enjoy seeing where the car is. I know it has to go thru Kansas City and from there.....I dunno.

Great. BMW app shows mine is assigned to carrier but not dispatched yet. Dealer says if it is on truck cant track! Just need to wait out! May be tomorrow it shows up in Atlanta!

It only took a day or so for the train my car is on to get to GA. I'm jealous! Dispatched on 2/1 and so far has only made it to Illinois. I've never shipped anything by rail and had no idea how slow it is. Still a looooooooong way to go.

I know the feeling. I bought my Ducati at National Power Sports, concord, NH few years ago. Haul Bikes took 3 weeks to deliver. Waiting is tough.

Mine left Spartanburg on 2/6 heading towards the Bay Area. I believe it will arrive in Kansas City processing center on 2/11 and at the Richmond hub in the Bay Area on 2/22. From there, I suppose we add a week of processing and transportation to dealer.

I wonder if our cars are on the same train. Mine arrived into Mobley, MO this morning. I can see a 2/11 arrival into KC.....

Yep, that is right around 3 weeks. Mine finished last night, is awaiting a carrier, and I’m already working on scheduling for ceramic coating and possible PPF. Can’t wait!

They might be on the same train. You said you were able to get a bill of lading from the dealer and from there you can track the train all the way to Richmond?

I think so. I'm not sure what's going to happen when it gets to KC. I suppose it could switch rail companies and I'll lose track of it. I'm not sure. My dealer said he'll have a better idea of when it will get to the west coast once it gets to KC. He did tell me that he expects it at the dealership by the end of the month.

At KC, it will switch from NS to BNSF for the rest of the trip out west.
NS doesn't have track operating rights west of KC.

Okay, cool. I should be able to continue to track it as the bill of lading is BNSF number.

I guess I'll find out soon, as of this afternoon, the car is now in KC.
