I guess I'll find out soon, as of this afternoon, the car is now in KC.
How long the train sits in KC depends on how long it takes the yard crew to switch powerplants. Sometimes they leave later the same day they arrived, other times it takes a couple days.
KC is a huge bottleneck for rail service.

Yesterday, the dots moved to "In Transit". I wonder if that means it is done with the train and has moved to the truck for local delivery. "In Transit" is after "Port".

My car left KC last night and continues westbound. Getting closer.

12 days to actual customer delivery, correct? I would think your vehicle is ~6 days away from the Richmond rail depot.

I think that yes, it's 12 days to customer delivery. Latest update from dealer yesterday is that they will have it on the 19th. I haven't been this anxious/excited about something in a long time.

Mine hit the train on Thursday. They said 15 days to Richmond and a couple more before I can pick it up. Detailer is booking through April but he is going to squeeze me in once it arrives. I’m stoked!

Mine arrives into Richmond (the train depot) on Friday, and I’m hoping to pick it up around Monday of next week. NJA Pilot should be riding by now. Did you get it?

Car arrived into Richmond on the 19th, but it didn't get to the dealer until last night (2/23). I pick it up at 1:00 today. Finally!

Well, the Eagle has finally landed! Dealer called me to let me know that my vehicle arrived. I’m probably going to take delivery tomorrow and it will go off to the detailer on Friday. My timeline since production was: 2/9 assembly completed, 2/11 released to carrier, 2/29 arrival at Richmond VPC (suspect that it actually arrived over the weekend), and 3/3 at the dealer.

My X5 has just got to the "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" stage on the tracker - will be interesting to see if transport to Los Angeles matches your transit time! (Please be quick I've been waiting for ages!)

So do I - my current lease runs out on March 23 so there's a very real chance I'll be carless which is a fate worse than death in LA. It's a race against the clock to get it here!

Well, I finally picked it up. The color is absolutely stunning, and I love the new tech upgrades. My 10 year seems to love them more than me. I took it in this morning for what will amount to around 80% PPF protection + ceramic on the exterior, leather, and wheels/calipers. They want to keep it for two weeks, and they had a lot of good sample projects going in the shop (including an X5), so I’m pretty confident that it will turn out perfect. Finally, this is really “only” 7% of the $98K MSPR to really protect the beautiful surfaces, and I plan on keeping this one for 5-6 years.

Here are a couple of shots I took before it went off the get detailed. Keep in mind that it has not been washed yet, and there is still plastic covering the seats.

Beautiful ride! I pick mine up from the detailer tomorrow. Can't wait!
