Pizza Thread

Since it's Super Bowl Sunday, and I'm trying to figure out which pizza to go with this year, I figure I'd see what other folks think. I suspect this may come down to where you're from, but let's see.

I think the usual are:

NY style
Chicago deep dish
Sicilian/Detroit
California

Any others?!

My wife does a killer homemade pizza. She does a flatbread style crust and fresh toppings. She does one with Brie, cheese, arugula and figs that is pretty tasty. Tough call on your list, I like them all, but deep dish is a favourite.

I love both NY and Chicago style, but if I have to choose, I think I prefer a big fat slice of NY pizza. Chicago is more like fork and knife food and very hearty.

Publix started selling this - and it's fantastic pizza, and I'm too a bit of a pizza freak.

I know it sounds like blasphemy, but if you have access to it, try it!

With KC being known for BBQ, how can any serious Superbowl party not have some KC-style BBQ ribs?????

I voted for NY thin style.

Two more to add:

- Philadelphia tomato pie
- Chicago thin and crispy cut square

99% of the time I go thin crust, but I decided to dust off the deep dish pans.

I have never had a pizza I did not like. I have had many and there are some I prefer more than others, but they all made me happy. Also you forgot Saint Louis Style.

What style would Golden Boy in San Francisco be? That was an awesome pie.

Being a Chicagoan, born and raised, I must inform you that Deep Dish is not the true chicago style. Thin crust is a true chicagoans jam.
