Looks like I've got to get one of these. What are we recommending as an OBD reader? I want to be able to use this in addition to the G05 on an F87 and F22.

This seems to be the way to go which covers both G and F Series. Does it do the tailgate closing from the remote and interior button?

Interestingly, my Bimmercode Tailgate module functions are disabled with the MX+ as well. This is what I contacted Stephan about and he says will be fixed this week. I am guessing there are X5 build/sw region/version variations that he has to account for, possibly a US vs Canada thing, but don't know.

Interesting. I am in Australia on 11/2018.49 and although I haven't changed the settings, it came up as allowing me to code the button on the driver door and the fobkey concerning the tail gate.

I'm using Veapeak.
Yes it will erase your coding. It did mine.

Stupid question but do you have to leave the OBD connector connected after its coded to have the new functionality work? OR can you remove it once its done ?

I have a g05 and was thinking of ordering the Mx+

No, you can remove it after programming.

I will wait to order the Mx once folks confirm that it can do all the features it promises via the new app.

My main goals are to turn off seatbelt reminders and ASS.

Is there a promo with Bimmercode for the MX+? Amazon has it for $80

I didn't get any sort of promotional pricing when I bought my OBD2 via the links from the BimmerCode website.

Just got my OBD MX+ and had the same options. Bubbahead was able to activate the tailgate. Hopefully they developer adds this.

I pinged Stephan of Bimmercode about the promised release to fix the inactive modules on some X5s this week and he replied that he didn't get it out and now promised next week.

This is probably the update that enables the new features to be coded in the US/Canada as with the previous version we were not able to access the ECUs that the app purported to have access to.
