Tartufo no longer available
I just got a call from the dealership that my configuration is no longer possible.
The tartufo leather option will no longer be produced after the summer 2019 update. As I pre ordered a 45e hybrid, which should be delivered end 2019, I can no longer keep my configuration (arctic with tartufo) and I should pick a different interior color. Interior color options have been limited and both cognac and tartufo have been eliminated. So its black, white, beige or coffee. : kinda boring! Anyone else got the same message? (based in belgium) |

Nope, arctic is still available, no issues there.
I would have rather chosen a different exterior color though, I really liked the tartufo way more than all others... |

They'll likely replace Tartufo with another similar color like Amaro Brown. Wait a few weeks for the 2020 order guide to be released and see what Merino leather colors that they offer. The colors you mentioned makes me think your dealer has the Vernasca colors and not the individual color options. Although, it would be interesting if they drop Tartufo since it's available on the X7 starting this August and Cognac was only introduced with production last month.

It just makes interior very rich looking. Everyone who sees it is WOWed by it.
Current 2020 choices are boring, No Tartufo, no Cognac, no two tone brown amarone, no red/black, no dark blue. Seems like browns are out. Only Coffee is available. BUt It makes the interior very dark. Might as well go black. On the other spectrum - a lot of white. White full leather, extended, white/Blue full and extended - just like x7. But having white leather in SUV is tough. Mountain bikes, kids, jeans etc. |

I kid, I kid. I used to be a black / charcoal interior guy. Then I got into the really light stuff. Still have that bug (my 911 is Pebble gray and my Telsa is white!) but once the manufacturers started offering tan-type colors other than "boring beige", I got interested in them again. My wife's Cayene is Umber / Tartufo two-tone brown and she loves it to death. I like the warm brown tones for a more luxurious look. But horses for courses, of course! |

I'm really glad I picked up a 2019 so I could get Tartufo seats. I definitely agree that they look super rich and very much stand out in a market full of black/grey/dark dark brown interiors.

Picking up my Arctic Gray I40 M Sport with Tartufo at the PDC on 11 June: Less than 2 weeks! Congrats on your I40 Sharm which I believe was built on the same day as my order! How’s your ride been treating you?

Hi Sharmaatl,
I’m headed to Spartanburg for pick up on 6/11. The status on the build site is that it is awaiting transport. I wonder where they store it from completion to my pickup at the PDC? Glad your ride is trouble free! I’m hoping the assemblers and QC Team had their A game going on the day ours hit the assembly line. |
