Another 45e ordered

Location: Belgium, so the 45e can be ordered for a while now.

We ordered in June, expected delivery is week 51.
Our first X5, coming from X3 and 3 series before that.

My wife’s company will be paying for it and she will be using it daily, so she decided the build
specs:
M sport
black Saphire
extended shadowline
740M 20inch (21 would have been nice…)
Vernasca Coffee with fineline stripe
Sunroof
Darkened back windows
Trailer hitch

Name: 6264707F-CB5C-4407-B8B5-3E64F5CE6E0A.jpeg

Nothing else added, she does not care about nice features like cooled cup holders and surround view… boohoo

The only thing I’m afraid of are the standard sport seats. She wouldn’t pay extra for the multi countour seats, nor the excellent merino leather (she doesn’t like the stitching )
But it’s not as cheap an upgrade as in the USA: In Belgium we don’t have those luxury seating packages, multi countour seats are 1450€, if you add massage and ventilation, that’s another 2000€.

But I’m just glad this car has sport seats as standard (added lumbar support option), as many other things that our current car (F25 X3 18D, yes that is a 2.0 diesel folks, 150BHP!) does not have, like electric sports seats with memory, big navigation, parking assistance, …
So these are all first world problems I suppose

Looks very nice to me! Is your car in the production system already, that is, is the estimated delivery week based on a factory-determined production week? I ordered mine in late July and haven't heard a date yet.

I ordered in July. My dealer expects the first 45e's in December for the people that ordered from the beginning. BMW Belux will get their 45e test vehicule in November.
They expect cars ordered in July in February/March 2020. So my dealer told me.

I got Arctic grey, M sport pack with Merino coffee leather and fineline stripe, 22 inch 742 black rims, Exclusive pack with ventilation and massage , innovation pack, laser lights, DAB, shadowline extended, cupholders, darkened and acoustic windows and some few other options.

Thank god my wife wasn't involved in the build. The only option she wants are heated seats

I just can't wait

No idea. We could still change configuration until October , then it would be locked, a few weeks after that they could give me the VIN when the production actually starts. Are there other ways to track orders before the VIN is created?

I think the dealer reserved some production slots for orders and we got one of those.
We asked for end of January delivery because our X3 finishes lease in February, but now they said week 51 or at latest week 1 2020

Don't worry about the 20"'s -- I received mine today and the CA recommended these as I do quite a bit of /actual/ off road with mine, and in fact they look pretty darn good if I say so myself.
However I'd definitely would have spent the money on 360 view and ditch the sunroof. sunroof is amazingly expensive and serves no purpose really.

Oh if you do any driving at night, DO get the Matrix LED with auto-high beams, it's really a fantastic feature; no need for the lazooooors.

I ordered the lasers because of the amount of light you get and their looks. You cannot have enough light, highways have no lighting anymore at night in Belgium compared to the past where Belgium was clearly visible from space as being a super bright spot at night

Will look great. Congratz. Those 20” wheels look surprisingly good in real life so I wouldnt worry about it.

Too bad you can only choose between 5 sets of wheels with the M sport pack. 1x 20", 1 x 21" and 3 x 22".
The full black rims are only available in 22". If that would be available in 20" I probably would have taken the 20". 22" looks great but I think 20" is more comfortable.

In my opinion the choice of wheels is too limited.

and don 't forget and no 22" on 45e with tow hook..
I took the 20" because of this reason but will buy aftermarket 22". I think hamann.. 20" will be winter wheels.

There is a black rim in accessories: 748M. Only problem is it can’t be fitted as an option with an order, you have to buy a separate set.
Wife wants to buy this with winter tyres so the car will be even more black in winter

I know. I added the 748M winter wheel set to my financial renting contract.

Ordered my 45e mid august, they expect to deliver it in december (Portugal).
My order was:

21"
Artic gray
M package
Tow hook
Panoramic roof
Confort seats + Merino black + dashboard
360 camera
Driver assistance pro
Active integral steering
Confort access
H&K sound
Solar protection & cortains for back windows

Im still strugling between 21" and 20" because i love the 20" design but maybe they look too small for the car (like the 19" for the F15).

Dont know if i can save the dashboard leather as sensatec is included as standard but never saw it in real life or pictures.

Also thinking i should add the acoustic glass mainly because in electric drive im afraid too much noise from runflat tires + wind

Test drove the G05 X5 30d with 20" runflats and found the cabin very quiet, even without the acoustic glass.

Since I'm calling a lot in the car I ordered the acoustic glass anyway.

Still waiting for start of production, but back from a “BMW luxury drive weekend” that I won in the local dealership a few months ago. You get a BMW for a weekend anda night in a classy hotel + diner. I thought it would have been a 745e, so I could already test the power unit, but it was a 740i.
So I had a nice weekend with the misses and on monday before returning the car I did Some final “testing” on the German autobahn (only 1 hour drive). I couldn’t go further than 215kph ( 135mph) due to too much traffic, but it was still going strong at that speed

Yeah, that is my schedule too. Got word this week that the first Finnish orders have a production week in Nov but mine does not have one yet.

That must be one of the first in Europe.
Almost the same looks as our order. Is that grill extended shadowline? Did you add this later on to your order? Because I only saw this from april onwards in the option list.
