Binge watched it over 2 days. I like the storyline. My son has played all the games so he was like, yeah Dad, he loses his sword a lot. Ha ha.

I was reading where critics believe this show could have been the next GOT in terms of weekly anticipation and hype had Netflix released it as a weekly series. I can agree with that. But Netflix has such a ginormous playlist of content that I really don't think it matters. Plus I personally enjoy binge watching in 2 or 3 days.

This series is superb IMO.

Watched it with my lady - both of us enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure on the actor at first, but he’s a great choice. Looking forward to season 2

Started watching it since I finished the expanse. I'm not a fan of these middle age fantasy type shows. Honestly it almost lost me on the first episode. However I managed to stick with it and now I think I'm at episode 3 now and it has reeled me back in. I'll keep watching...

Same here I stopped watching towards the end of episode 1 as there is a long stretch where not much is happening after the initial action. But the reviews were positive and it was even appearing to be more popular than Mandalorian which I find hard to believe being just behind stranger things. Anyway it wasn't that bad after watching the rest of the episodes. Apparently it's based on a book and there was a video game that's become popular again because of it. They can get away with doing more in this show as it is on Netflix and doesn't have to be family friendly like Disney+.

Started watching it the other day, almost done. It was a little slow and kind of hard to follow, but it definitely started picking up. There are multiple story lines (as far as time frame goes). Once I figured that out it became a lot more interesting.

Eh, hard to follow at first. I was disappointed after finishing S1.

I watched the first episode with the wifey and she wasn't all impressed so might have to solo binge when she goes to bed. She said she'd give it another try this weekend. I liked it and Henry Cavill is a good choice for the role.

I loved the first season, a little confusing at first but once you figure out the time lines and such then it all starts making sense. Can't wait for season 2, although heard it wont be til sometime later in 2021?

I've tried three separate times to get through the first episode and still haven't made it through. For those that did watch the first season, is it actually worth sticking to it?

I usually have no issue with sticking to a program that starts slowly but is ultimately very rewarding like The Wire but this show is not holding my interest at all.

It definitely gets much better. If you have trouble following the story lines do a quick read online. It really explains it much better and makes it more enjoyable.

Wasn't blown away by the final two episodes. Think they could've done a little better, but all in all solid show.

I appreciate your lack of spoilers. I'll probably finish it up today.

Found myself taking a couple weeks to get through the first couple episodes. Then Yennefer got her face fixed and started to consistently lose her clothing and suddenly I started binge watching. Weird...

She's pretty special in that exotic way that I love.

EDIT: Some spoilers for a character for those that haven't watched.

I knew right when they started showing her that she was gonna play a big part in the show, and I was wondering if they would leave her all deformed. But as I thought, they fixed her right up. I knew she was going to be super hot once they did lol.

First episode was the WORST. Gets a lot better, especially once you get to episode 3

The wife decided she wanted to give Witcher another shot this weekend. She actually got into it and now understands "toss a coin to your Witcher." Now that she does, I immediately start singing it loudly whenever I do something that she asked me to do. I usually get something tossed at me, but it's not a coin.

Not bad if you've played the game. I played about 10-12 h only (no time), but enough to enjoy the story line.

The wife didn't even know about the game, and she was really neutral about the show.

Overall I like it, but yennefer isn't really hot enough

Considering where she started, she's a miracle of hotness.
