Remote start and climate control

Does any one know how to control the temperature remotely?
I prefer to keep car AC set at 69F. But, car seats in hot weather. So before going home I prefer to remote start the car from the app and want Mac AC to cool down faster. But it seems it only stays at 69. It will be max AC only if car was set to max AC before turning off.
Any idea how to change the temp remotely?

You can't control the temp from the app. The car uses the last set temp by default.

To add to that, you can start the car up to 15 minutes before departure - after that it will turn off. So maybe just start your pre-cooling routine a little earlier.

BMW says it will allow 2 consecutive auto-starts before you have to manually start the car. So you could conceivably start the car up to 30 minutes before you leave. I imagine that would be plenty of time to cool down the car.

In theory, you leave the A/C in full auto mode at the desired temperature. The climate system knows if the car is hot or cold and to what extent and should be able to achieve the desired temperature quickly.

For example, if it is very hot inside the cabin and the temperature is set at 70 turning the temperature to 60 will not blow any colder air at first than 70 until the temperature in the cabin gets close to the set temperature.

yes if you leave it in Auto it will ramp up to cool down, I've tested this last summer works like a dream here in AZ.

Thank you guys!
It worked. I left the AC in auto mode and it cooled down faster than manual fan speed.

You can also create some rules for the seat ventilation if you have seats that are ventilated so they can activate on their own too.

The seat ventilation and heated seats won't activate until the seat belt is connected. So starting the car with no one in the vehicle, the seat ventilation would not activate.

They are working on that. In an update of idrive or the connect app it will be possible to activate steering wheel heating and seat heating and ventilation.
