Is this part better if made with Aluminum alloy?

I heard people saying that BMW has been lowering cost by using cheap iron materials on these parts, but some people say iron is better?

Is this part better if made with aluminum alloy or iron?

Are we looking at rear lower control arm? If it is painted black, it is steel. I take that is what you mean by iron. Aluminum will be natural silverfish gray color.

What components matter.

Lower control arm? Aluminum for weight saving. Added benefit is rush proof if you live in snow belt. Usually it is in front, where weight saving is needed to archive 50/50 in bmw.

Sway bar tho, steel for the torsion strength. I have not see a aluminum sway bar
