iDrive 8.5 shortcuts not saving

I just picked up my 2024 X5 50e this past Saturday. One of the first things I tried to do when I got home was to set the shortcuts. I do have the latest version 07/2023.53. As I was setting the satellite stations, they would save and then just before getting to the last position or so, when I hit save, all of the previous saved to shortcuts were all deleted and showing unassigned. I have done this at least 6 times or more and still cannot get them to save as I am about to finish filling up the shortcuts.
Anyone else having this issue or who has a solution for this? The shortcuts are not much of a shortcut since I cannot seem to save my choices.

I suggest using the presets function in the media. You can create a curated list of stations you listen to across AM/FM/XM rather than shortcuts. The preset list will show up as a separate list in media.

As an aside, make sure you are logged into your profile using myBMW/BMW ID

Yes, thanks I had also used the presets function (which for some reason that stays saved in the shortcuts) and then have access from there to my favourite stations. I am also logged into my BMW ID.

Yep but on iD7 I can set the memory buttons aka shortcuts in iD8 to specific stations vs preset. At least with iD8 you can set presets and then use the right side scrolling wheel to make a choice. Still a mighty step backwards from iD7 that allows absolutely discrete memory (#1 is Ozzy's Boneyard, #2 is my SSD drive, #3 is bass trim, #4 B&W sound profiles, #5 is mobile device to enable/disable AA, #7 is sport displays and #8 climate control "sync"). World of difference.
