Paid Online Surveys....anyone do them?

I was looking for a way to make some extra money. I came across PAID ONLINE SURVEYS. Basically you sign up and they send you surveys to take, previews to watch or items to review and they pay you either in cash or in gift cards. It doesn't seem like much money per survey, but I guess it can add up. Two companies I fount are Valued Opinions and Swagbucks. I am sure that there are more out there. Anyone with any experience with this?

The standard online surveys are not very lucrative, nor worthwhile. When its paying 10 cents for something that takes 10 mins, well thats 60 cents an hour lol.

Ones I have found to be worthwhile however are in person, or online but not the standard type. Last week I spent about 40 mins on a call , analyzing a new website layout and functions, just providing simple feedback . That earned me a $50 amazon gift card.

Recently /i also went to an in person one, that took 1 hour , it was simply comparing a new "trim restorer " to the ones already on the market, this paid $300 cash, and I got to keep 10 brand new trim restorer products lol.

there is also "taste test" ones that should be readily available in your area and pay well, anywhere from 20-60/hr I have earned for these.

Not sure where you are located but you could always google " city name + taste testing" and find local companies. For me it is tasteocracy, or fpi testers ( they may have locations near you as well, not sure )

For the other types of surveys - the car thing was a random facebook ad that said " do you like to take care of your car " and I clicked it and filled it out, they called a couple days later .

You can also find random things of the sort on your local craiglist page as well!

Download the Google rewards app. Won't make you much money but it pays for my Pandora Premium and youtube premium, etc.

I whore my body out to science

I'm insulin dependent. My Dr. has retired from medical practice and only does research trials. I haven't gone more than a month or two over the last decade or so where I had to pay for my drugs or blood tests/testing supplies. Currently runs about $50/office visit I get paid at the end of the trial.

90 days of insulin, with relatively good medical insurance costs ~$600. Couldn't tell you what blood testing supplies run, as I hoard enough from the trials to keep me going AND have my wife test twice a day (pre-diabetic)

The online ones are a crock of shit. Avoid at all costs.

I do consults and surveys on occasion that are targeted and run through a 3rd party service. These are legit. I typically earn about $50 for a survey and around $250/hr for a phone consult. The key here is that you have to have substantial industry knowledge and it can't violate SEC, PCAOB, or other standards or be covered under an NDA. That causes me to have to bow out of about 75% of the offers I get - but I still do around 10 or so a year and it adds a few thousand to the play money portion of the budget.

The company I use Guidepoint. Link below:

I only do work related ones that will pay 50-100 bucks for a few minutes of questions.

Sign up for medical experimentation. It pays much better than those surveys.

Im enlisted into two portals plus a hardware builder for gamers.
Tests are different, one is basically just clicking stupid survey questions and if you are not qualified (caused by age or no kids) you're out. That sux sometimes. Payment with vouchers (I chose almost Amazon). Other is pure outdoor and range is from visiting credit consults, via car dealers and back to insurerances to test their hotlines e.g.. Payment with cash to my bank data.
Hardware is received almost right after construction and has sometime some lacks, but on the flipside I could keep it for good but not allow to sale it at any time. I got two very nice gamer mice and a cool keyboard which is in use.
Well, this is more when Im bored and not a serious secondary employment to sum up my income.

FWIW - I just completed a survey on ERP and MES/MOM systems used in my industry that was sent to me via Guidepoint - the company I mentioned earlier.

Took me about 15 minutes. Paid $40.00

Done.

my wife and i do swagbucks.

through them, ive gotten in quite a bit of focus groups that end up paying 25, 50, 100+ per group. usually an hour or so or you gotta go to the store and answer questions.

usually i just use swagbucks for their points on online shopping though. racked up ~$1500 in amazon gift cards with the occasional survey and just activating swag bucks on ebay and other online sites.

Do a search for “Focus Groups” that are local to your area. My wife and I occasionally do these through a company in metro-Boston area, with pay ranging anywhere from $100 - $250.
