So I need a new rear driver’s side tire and I was told that the continentals I have on my 2020 X5 m50i are discontinued. I guess I have to go with another brand. I’m also guessing I would need to replace the rear passenger side also even though it’s in good shape.

So my question is which tires to get? Anyone have recommendations?

315 30 R22 in the rear and 275 35 R22 in the Front.

Have you searched tirerack? Or discount tire?

Which tires do you have on currently? The continental premium contact 6 tires are still showing available.

Available where? I saw the fronts but the rears are on back order. If I swapped out the rears with say Michelin do I need to swap the front too?

Tirerack is showing In Stock for the fronts and Limited Stock for the rear. You could also check with a dealership, especially since many are competive with tirerack's pricing. I ended up buying fronts through the dealership since i also needed an alignment due to some Abby-normal tire wear and the price was about the same. I would use the same tire all around.

No, you don’t have to replace the fronts too.

But you should use matching tires on each axle. The car would still be drivable if you didn't, though (I recently drove with the donut spare and it handled fine, of course)
