Auto time setting issues

Anyone else have problems with id8.5 changing the time automatically? It didn’t adjust for daylight savings 2 weeks ago and didn’t adjust for a time zone change today. The “automatic tone setting” feature is ticked on but it only adjusts the time automatically and correctly if I toggle off that option and back on. GPS working fine so that car knows it’s location no problem. Thanks all!

I had the same issue here with the change to GMT - I left it for a week or so and then did as you did and it's now correct. Don't know what the problem was though.

I have had the same issue with the time zone change when traveling in several BMWs. It won't actually change the time zone unless I turn the "Auto" function off and then back on again. It is just a BMW thing.

Yes. I have been wondering about this for two weeks since daylight savings. 2024 50e and it has incorrect auto time displayed. I installed the software update this week and the vehicle still displays the incorrect time. I have also tried turning auto time off and on.

My ID8 didn’t change automatically after daylight change a couple of weeks ago. I checked that the auto time setting was off. The time changed instantly after I turned that on.

I also had to toggle auto time off and then on for it to update the time after DST took effect. Duh BMW.

this isn’t a new issue nor a failure. it’s how iDrive has been for years and hasn’t changed for recent ID8/8.5. here’s a post from 2019:
