Nothing much to write about my wife’s 50e. A slew of minor errors when coming at the dealer and scanning the key. A few check engine in the beginning before software updates. I’ve never been stuck on the road even with a christmas tree of lights and error in the dash and Idrive.

Now at around 18 000km and everything is running smoothly and my wife doesn’t complain. I also like the car but even though it’s fast, it doesn’t drive like a true M car.

My wife has driven 2k miles in her 50e. We’ve had it since November. We have only filled up once after a road trip. No CELs and the car has been fantastic. Only problem has been a finicky CarPlay. The family loves how quiet and smooth the car is and my wife loves doing the daily commute on e-drive. It is a road trip beast.

I am sorry for all the people with the CEL problems and hope we never have to deal with it! It’s a wonderful car.

Indeed. That’s the frustrating part.

Ideally, nothing triggers the CEL to come on, but it will go off after (I think) 3 restarts when that condition no longer exists. It should be stored in memory, though.

I have a 2023 X5 45e with 22,000miles now (took delivery in December 2022). Have had absolutely zero issues. Fantastic car, super smooth, great for road trips. The only real thing I wish they would have changed would be for the rear seats to have a couple inches more of leg room. It is a little tight back there for adults (fine for kids).
