xDrive is indeed a great AWD system but a 911 with winter tires gets around better in slippery conditions than a Jeep on the wrong tires.

Yeh, we run dedicated winter setups for both cars. It's a game changer

just as folks have dedicated winter and summer tire sets, BeEmVee, why not grab a set of all-terrain tires for your canyon runs?

If these are your target, then any car will do. Even my 3 series RWD with summer tire will do just fine. I would say this is unpaved road, not off road. I have friends living in Santa Cruz, their drive way is like this.
