I can help with this. We are scheduled to pick up my wife's X6 at the Performance Center in Greer, S.C., on February 14, Valentine's Day (I'm such a romantic).

It is true that BMW no longer pays for the hotel and breakfast/dinner. But it retains a relationship with the Greenville Marriott, so if you book a room there, use the discount code of BMW and your rate will include breakfast. The Marriott also will pick you up at the airport and will drive you over to the Performance Center so that you arrive by the requested time of 8 a.m.

At the Performance Center, they have dropped the assembly-plant tour (this is a bummer for me), but the rest of the routine - track drives, white-glove delivery, etc. - remain. BMW also still provides lunch in the Performance Center cafe.

The experience is said to end by 3 p.m., but without the assembly-plant tour, I'm guessing that it will end somewhat earlier.

We didn’t have that either last year September. To my understanding it was related to remodeling of the factory which may go until this summer. Thereafter it might be back.

Maybe calbears knows more.

You'll get a guided tour of the Zentrum which will take 45 minutes to an hour

Greenville. Don’t forget to use discount code “BMW.”

around 3ish (maybe 230)--but that's all on you and how much time you want to spend going over the vehicle. It also depends on when you take delivery as there are 2 slots (early and late)

Some people just want to get on the road, so they don't take full advantage of the time the advisor can give to help setup things like your phone and other preferences. These guys/gals do understand the vehicles and can help if you let them.

If nothing else, be sure to get your Connected Drive profile setup and sync'd and the digital key installed on your phone. If you're going to have a problem, those two items are the most likely. The Genius can work any issues that come up.

My wife and I did PCD and loved the experience even though the factory tour part was closed due to plant upgrades. We spent 9 days driving our 50e home from the factory. At around 800 miles in we caught a rock with the windshield and cracked it. Followed shortly by a CEL.

I would do PCD again in the future. They treat you like Royalty.

that sucks that they took away the hotel and breakfast. it wasn't anything extraordinary but it was nice getting wined and dined by bmw overnight and for breakfast before the activities. you'd think for a company that made money hand over fist during covid and inflation while cutting options, they'd try to maintain brand loyalty and build relationships with their customers.

having said all that, its definitely was fun to do the PCD. you get to do the driving courses and get two hours to go over your vehicle with a CA.

The BMW corporate rate is actually higher than the Marriott Bonvoy rate for the Greenville Marriott, as I have a upcoming PCD next month. Undecided if I’m going to stay downtown Greenville or at the Marriott. I highly recommend that Bonvoy elites who are either Plantium, Titantium Elite or Ambassdaor book the Bonvoy member rate as breakfast is included.

OP you need to factor in the cost of either a one way car rental (which I highly recommend using car rental points for a one way rental) or 1 way flight—as the Greenville Marriott offers complementary shuttle service from GSP.

I would not pay for dinner at Greenville Marriot based on my past 10 PCD experiences, as it was fine when it was included. Rick Ervins Eastside is 6 min from the hotel, as the Marriot should provid transportation and they have in the past to local bars around the hotel. I have eaten at the Rick Ervin’s West End Grille and Hall’s Chophouse both located in downtown Greenville.

The BMW corporate rate will also work for the Marriot properties located in downtown Greenville, SC, as I have used before in the past. The Westin Poinsett, Greenville, is an outstanding hotel, as BMW uses this hotel, or it did for the 6 series owners experience years ago. Greenville has a lot of nice restaurants and hotels, as the drive will be closer to 30 min to the Performance Center.

I belive that BMW is giving delivery customers a voucher to return for a factory tour once the expansion is completesd, as I saw the ongoing construction from I-85 earlier this month.

This is why I keep on doing PCD as the delivery staff is outstanding getting you to learn your new velichle. I’m dreading taking delivery of new M4 either coupe or convertible next year on site at my order BMW center when my current M4 cabrio lease is up as PCD is no longer an option.

I don't know if they'll still do this, but when I did my first BMW using European delivery, I had the vehicle redelivered at the PDC , no extra charge rather than the selling dealership.
