Love it. And very happy the non-comp comes with cool wheels. Not real excited about the comp versions. Only complaint...we lost a mile/gallon efficiency, which seems like a step back. F85 was 14/19; now 13/18. I'd rather have a more efficient engine and slight decrease in performance. I'm probably alone in that feeling.

Very excited to see this - gives me hope that the US allocations aren’t far behind.

I’ve been checking the BMW USA configurator every day for weeks, eagerly awaiting the addition of these M’s. I’ve spent some time on it today and I see nothing surprising - fortunately and unfortunately. The options appear to be identical to the pricing and build sheet specs already released, which should be expected I suppose. I was just hoping a few additional options would sneak into the configurator before allocations are issued (e.g. LED Sky Lounge and acoustic glass), but not the case. Apparently, BMW has decided to continue their trend of penalizing first model-year buyers. I’m guessing we’ll see both of these options show up for 2021...along with additional colors and interior trims.

Nevertheless, I’m undeterred in my pursuit. Just waiting for an allocation like a kid waiting for Christmas.

Finally!!! I've been checking the BMW USA website daily also. Like you said, no options for the LED Sky Lounge or Android Auto.

Still waiting for an allocation...

I do think that the M8GC is one of the best looking designs BMW has unveiled in a long time. It’s fantastic. The rear end view in particular is sh$t-hot. If it could fit 3 in the back seat, I would seriously consider it over the X5 MC. Luckily it does not so I will save myself ~$40k.

I saw a post (see link below) regarding Android and thought I would pass along.

https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1677081

Not sure if this means you would have to wait for a car produced after mid-2020, or if it will just be a software upgrade to existing vehicles. I suspect it’s the former.

Thanks

Since the F95 has iDrive 7.0, I'm hoping it will be a simple software upgrade.

Then you should opt for the eDrive model.

M cars are about performance. Most people don't even pay attention to mpg when it comes to fun.

Yeah I get it. It’s just surprising that for a marginal increase in performance over the f85 they weren’t able to improve the mpg with better technology (5 years later). I believe that had previously been the trend, particularly going from f15 to f85. It’s not about the gas $. It’s about more frequent fill ups (even a smaller tank I believe), and not feeling quite so bad about planet shi**ing.

As an EU order, this is what it looks like with a plate.

That's a pretty unimpressive number.

Cayennes and RR are rated at 7200+ for the base models.
