There is the Cayenne Turbo S e-Hybrid, though that is $40k more.

That's a pretty unimpressive number.

Cayennes and RR are rated at 7200+ for the base models.
In my country, most of the cars are rated at 3300, above 7000 you need a special driving licence, so the x5m at 6600 is kinda special.

Was disappointed to see no rear air suspension for self-leveling when towing toys either. F85 starting to look like an upgrade in utility.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone desire or own a high performance vehicle and complain about and make multiple posts about mpg... It's legitimately the last thing anyone purchasing a vehicle like this should be looking at... I don't know what the mpg is for my current car and come to think of it, I don't know the mpg for any of my previous cars... I do know I'm getting 9-10mpg currently and the few extra trips to the gas station is a minuscule price to pay for what I'm getting to enjoy...

As for the "planet" that's an issue in itself... It's most likely too late to reverse anything and all we can do is prolong, but it's "don't care about ass shitting on the planet" that got us in this situation in the first place... Fully aware of my own carbon footprint and do what I can to offset my cause...

So in an nutshell, you don't care about the planet but you do care about having to make an extra trip to the gas station, lol... Go figure...

While I agree and I don't, I couldn't help noticing that on the G82, a front plate might be necessary, lolol...

If we had plates like the Europeans, I'd be down to rock a front plate... North America makes the car look like it has buck teeth...

In my defense it’s my wife’s car and the 20-30 less miles she will get on a tank on the new one will just be a bit more of a pain. It's a trip to the gas station every 3 days. Yes it's not a huge deal. Just pointing out that I don't think it's consistent with most of BMWs recent advancements. 5-6 years newer technology, less mpg for a marginal increase in (by the numbers anyway) performance. It only gets a 250 mile range to begin with the way she drives. Every time I get in it to go somewhere it’s out of gas Also, you misread...did not say I don't care about planet shitting. "It’s not about the gas $. It’s about more frequent fill ups (even a smaller tank I believe), and not feeling quite so bad about planet shi**ing." We all have our carbon footprint that we justify. I've only made "multiple posts about mpg" to reply to the posts pointing out that I shouldn't be curious about or give a damn about the mpg. It's our family truckster, so I was simply hoping for a bit better range on the new one...either by better technology or larger tank. I suppose there's the M50 that would be close to our current F85, but there's no sakhir interior option for it...

Just wishing the US would offer the "Ultimate Package" like the UK configurator offers.

I kind of agree, although the Ultimate Package includes about $5-6k worth of stuff I don’t really want (rear seat entertainment and M drivers package). But I’d still consider getting it just to have the LED Sky Lounge and acoustic glazing glass.

It just doesn’t make sense that those items are not offered as options on the US M models. These beasts will be produced in the very same US plant as the 2020 X5 M50i is produced and the latter offers both LED Sky Lounge and acoustic glass. It is a little frustrating.

I would love to sit in on the meetings where they discuss which options go to which market. They seem to have a certain concept about what’s reasonable for the Ms. One of the most frustrating things about my ‘06 ZCP M3 was that it didn’t have cruise control or radio controls on the steering wheel. It’s really interesting to use the configurator for multiple different countries. So much variety.

Configuration might not be final yet either though. Not sure.

Ordered mine yesterday and was disappointed that there was no option for the sky lounge but oh well, it's a M comp. Care more about the speed versus looking at the roof 🤣

My build: E2TFABVL https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...tmxf2y/summary

Does anyone know of a good salesperson in the SF Bay Area who can help me put this order? My experience so far engaging with dealers on my own hasn't been great.

No roof rails either. I travel on family trips and need the rails for my roof box. I will also be installing a hitch. I hope they offer this as an option.

Why limit yourself to someone in the Bay Area if you're ordering the car? Makes sense if the car you want is on their lot, but if it's something you're putting together literally any salesperson in the country can help you.

Hit up GOLFFRR and he can help. Steve Thomas is a great place, and not that far of a trip. Hell, fly down there, pick up your car, and make its first miles along the pacific coast highway.

Frank NJ all your front plates go in the trunk? Maybe you can tell all of us how many times you've been pulled over and asked about the front plate? Do you get away with it all the time or maybe you have never been pulled over for it? I don't understand how you get away with this since you are from NJ.
