OEM Door projector lights..pics.

Just finished installing the OEM Door projector lights (part 63 31 2 414 105). These come with 4 different lenses. The instructions were in German and figuring how to change the lenses and then aligning the lenses with the door were the hardest part. There are a few things you can get wrong like installing the left or right lens in the wrong side projector so don't snap the projector into the door until you verify and index of the lens so it follows your door. If your ocd this will take a few attempts. M logo lens matches the lighted M door sills perfectly in color and design. Obviously both OEM and you can tell.

2 projector lights come in the kit. I wouldn't want any on the back doors as the welcome carpet light projects over that area. Together they look incredible and make quite a statement getting in and out and the lighted M door sills completes the look.

I'm so bummed that I forgot to pull these out of the 2 BMWs I traded in last month now that I know they're the same part number. I just had to order yet another set . I'll see if the "X" or the roundel looks best with the "carpet" since I don't have M-sport this time.

They look great in yours! And one of the easiest mods ever

Yes. 2 projectors per box. Use a butter knife getting the oem lights out. They are really in there. The projectors snap back in the hole very tightly so make sure you have your alignment and every thing perfect before they snap back in. I wouldn't want to pry the projectors back out.

The BMW Roundel is colored blue/black and pops. The color on the M logo is surprisingly accurate with the door sills. The colors are crisp and look 3D.

Have you got a photo of the plug under the door before/after? Is all the wiring already there?

Yes the plug is there, just unhook it and hook these up. Fits just like the factory one does.

No pics. It’s a simple plug n play as far as unplugging the light and plugging in the oem projector light. FYI. Work in a ultra clean environment when installing the lens as any dust on the lens then inserted in the projector housing can be seen magnified.

I had those in my 528 and my 435 and used the M since they had both M-sport. I have to say the color held up VERY well over the years, no fading at all with the OEM ones.

I'll miss the M since M is my last initial but since no M-sport this time, I'll try the roundel first since you said it "pops"

Looks cool!

Looking at your photos I think I need to clean our light carpet lights! Yours seem WAY brighter than ours. But we have had a lot of rain recently, maybe ours are covered with dirt.

Any pics of the "X" projected? I wonder if it would look good at all...

Look amazing. My order was canceled by an online seller. He claims they don't fit and I should wait for the original part to be available by BMW, stating "......the conector and shape of the new X5 are completely different."
Did you have any issues fitting them or plug and play?

He would be wrong. They are a direct replacement. The X5 is so new that I am not surprised the confusion.

That happened to me with my previous M235i. I ordered one online not OEM, got them and they didn't fit. Was a little disappointing, said I would buy OEM ones next time.

I can confirm they DO fit, installed mine yesterday and they fit nicely but do need some pushing...

I would like to find an aftermarket company selling them for less than $155 that BMW is selling them at. That's a little crazy, but they do look amazing!

Well I was under the impression I was buying OEM from this seller. He's stating the part # from this post isn't compatible. I don't like to speculate but they were $114 and I'm wondering if he wants to mark up them up when they show as compatible.

Tischer has a decent price on them at $119, my dealer with BMWCCA discount is just about $105 (no comment on IND's price)
