135i vs. A5

I was wondering if anyone on here was considering the Audi A5(260hp) in comparison to the 135i(300). I dont know much about the A5 except that the base prices for each car may be similar and they are both coupes.

Anyone on here Know much about the A5?

(I know its probably better to compare it to the 328i, but I was just wondering.)

I was anticipating the A5 to have a higher base than the 135i.

Not to turn this into another pricing thread, but is there an official A5 pricing out there yet, or strong speculation?

The A5 will no doubt be substantially more than the 135i. Bigger, heavier, slower, more refined, roomier, AWD instead of RWD, and undoubtedly more expensive. The A5 is much more comparable to the 335i than the 1er.

I don't see these two cars as very comparable, but different people have different reasons for buying cars. I guess if your criteria are "German" and "coupe" then they're comparable. Otherwise...

I have seen on a couple websites that the A5 will start at $40k.
