I think because they provide factory warranty option to purchase with tune so that's why they don't want people to push there cars to full limit and cause issue with engine and transmission.
Now I'm completely confused 😕 to decide if i should go with carbahn or not.
That's exactly what happened to me. I'm torn between RK, ECC, and Carbahn. There's a recent dyno posted in the g30 5 series forum, a m550 posting like 608whp with Carbahn. Only an intake an midpipe, so that's actually really good numbers.

However, the tq per gear can be controlled in the xhp app. If I do Carbahn, I'll just set first to stock (750), and each gear 10% higher until like 1075. The tq levels will be likely higher than advertised then. I just can't help but think Carbahn's tune is just a rebranded ots tune, simply with some higher boost.

ECC seems good- really high numbers though which is scary.

I was thinking about carbahn just because i have stage 1 controller installed in my car from carbahn and upgrading it to dme tune was only $2200 but now since you told me and after speaking to there tuner i changed my mind. I'm gonna send the dme to dme tuning in texas.

Ya carbahn told me the same thing but they just need the tq levels back to oem which is 750 per gear. That can be set in the custom settings in xhp app- really easy to do.

You would want to see baseline and immediately after tune applied for the delta same day, same car, same dyno.

Your M50i is going to be sick when you get running with a full ECM tune. Guessing around 700HP from what I've seen the 5 and 8 series guys getting from the N63.
Look forward to hearing a full report.

You spoke directly with the tuner at DME? Their stage 2 says 700bhp but there's no dynos anywhere to support their advertising. They also said they accommodate xhp stage 3?

Yeah i spoke to him directly Dme tuning NJ not the one in texas and he told me that his tune supports xhp stage 3. I mentioned you earlier that he tuned 2 M5 competition for my brother so thats why u went with that company. I read it somewhere that if you have bm3 or mhd license then euro performance center also provide service to get the ecu unlock through femto and then you can tune at home with bm3 or mhd

I'm basically waiting to see how this turns out. I'm really torn between the 3 tunes: rk, dme, ecc so if yours hits in that 720bhp range, I'll do dme.

The full flash tunes are all going to be close. Driveability and a linear power delivery are what you should really use as a deciding factor for choice rather than a peak HP # which can be artfully manipulated by a savy operator.

Totally agree. RK tunes looked to have a very choppy and peKed tq curve which I didn't like so i requested a newer dyno pull and am waiting to hear back. I havent found any for dme on the n63b, and ecc dyno curve looks incredible ( flat across the range) but only 2 and they're from ECC own site, so not sure if it's photoshopped or lord knows what.
