Anyone here have a 2020/2021 X6M Competition?
I am in a bit of a pickle with a decision I have to make soon. My i8 Roadster lease is almost up and my 2 choices for next car is between an M8 Competition Convertible or an X6M Competition.
I know the 2 cars are completely night and day but I would like a small review pro's con's of the x6m Comp from someone whos been driving it for weeks/months/ etc. Thanks in advance! |

Why not find a dealer who has both for you to test drive?
Words from another is will only worth a certain amount, but driving each for yourself would help you decide better.

I have a X6M Competition. Your question is a no brainer.
Id buy the M8 Competition. Not there is anything wrong with the X6M but if you've been driving an i8 it would be the logical choice. Last edited by QF8; 01-18-2021 at 06:32 PM.. |

BUT - if I had to choose choose, I would go with the m8c. It's just viscous.

I would take the X6MC. It is such a boss car and looks like nothing else on the road. Commanding presence, people will notice you.

Not here to sway you one way or the other as I don't have either of those cars, but it's clear the cost difference won't affect you so my vote is to get what you ultimately want. As mentioned in this thread, test drive both, and make a decision on what thrills you the most, no need to worry about $100-200 here or there.

I have owned several M3s, X6s, Porsche Macan Turbo, LC500, etc., and I am waiting on delivery of a X6MC. I test drove both cars you mention and decided on the X6MC because of the looks, added practicality of the X6MC and the fact that I can drive it on dirt roads at the lake. It all depends upon what you are after. Neither car can be driven to their potential on anything but the track and if I were going to be tracking the car I would pick the M8. I agree that you should test drive both. I was impressed by the performance of the X6MC given its size and weight.

OH SNAP!!! To OP, M8 if you are coming from the I8 and have no real need for an SUV. I need space so I went X5Mc and the X6Mc personally I'm not a fan of the looks, and it didn't have the space I needed

If the i8 was good for you in terms of road clearance, trunk space, back seat usage go with the M8 it's a gorgeous car. However unless you're going with the GC you'll have to get a 2020 with whatever stock the dealers have left.
