Thought I'd make another attempt. . . anyone have pricing and ordering guides with any updates later than the one previously posted from 10/15/18 (if there is anything later)? Will be confirming my order in the next few weeks and just curious if there's a newer version.

Thanks in advance!

I noticed on my car, all four windows use acoustic glass now, maybe that's why the price change.

Is there a tag on the glass? That would be nice if all 4 windows are acoustic.

In production

Just got my production number!
How long does it usually take in production, or does it depend on options etc.?

Air Suspension w/out 3rd Row Seats??

Hi guys, First post/question here. I’m hoping to order a G05 in the next week or two and I’m getting stumped by the ordering guide.

I really want the air suspension but I really don’t want the 3rd row seats. The reason is that I want to be able to raise/lower the vehicle, but I don’t need/want the 3rd row seats blocking me from getting the automatic cargo cover and spare for the 22” nonRFs.

Am I correct in reading that the only way to do this is to NOT order the Msport package???

Assuming I have to forego the air suspension to keep the M sport package, is the standard (non-air) suspension at least adjustable (comfort, sport, etc.)? Do people think the Msport package is necessary due to exhaust etc. and more important to get than the air suspension?

Thanks for your input!

you can get the air suspension without a 3rd row on the M sport

You can get Air Suspension with both xLine and mSport 40i, without the third row seat.

On mSport 40i, you can get Air Suspension only as part of Comfort Handling Package (ZHC).

When you order ZHC with mSport,"Air suspension" replaces the "Adaptive M suspension" part of mSport Package (ZMP) at no extra cost; you only pay extra for Integral Active Steering part of ZHC ($1150 for me).

Recommend configuring them both on BMW site and seeing which one you want.

The standard mSport suspension has the adjustable modes that you inquired about.

Read in the forum many existing, helpful threads about different suspensions available on X5 and Pros and Cons of each.

Thanks for this tip. I was looking at the ordering guide before the last/October(?) updates. New one made it much clearer. I'm going to be ordering the Comfort Handling Package to get the Air Suspension, Msport, and IAS. Looks like we can also do the 22s with spare tire even while speccing the Luggage Package (but not the 3rd row seats).

Deleted Features:

XD5 - Alcantara headliner in upholstery color (19XG, 19XJ)
ZA - (Ind)_Extended Merino Leather (19XG, 19XJ)
ZAHW - Amarone/Black Extended Merino Leather (19XG, 19XJ)

So, no Navy/White leather or Alcantara headliner.

Glad I didn't wait for these!

Canadian version?

Any chance that the updated Canadian version is available too?

I wanted Tanzanite Blue well before we had any idea of what the colours might be. Phytonic is just dull IMHO, and while I like Carbon Black, I know it will be a nightmare to keep clean.

I'm anxious to finally be able to order an X5 the way I want it!

How is that possible, where is all the stuff mentioned in the press release:

BMW Individual extended leather upholstery Merino in Ivory White/Midnight Blue combination and BMW Individual fine-grain Merino full leather trim in Black, Ivory White, Tartufo, Coffee and Ivory White/Midnight Blue. And from April 2019, BMW Individual interior trim strips in Fineline Black fine wood with aluminium inlays will also be available as an option.

Hmmm

The way I read it, the extended Merino is still available.

In the long run, I would be surprised if the X5 WOULDN'T get the promised features. I don't think BMW will be able to "move"many customers to the X7 based on features. It's a different vehicle with a different target group and different price range. the average X5 is simply not willing to pay $20K more to get an alcantara headliner and a bigger vehicle they don't need. Not to mention the bad lease-deals and lack of discounts on the X7.

I think MY20 will be the complete launch for the G05. By then, we should be getting what we want.
