2022my options

Anyone have informations on 2022 possible options return? I have little hope but still a bit of time . It will be my first lease return when the upcoming new car is less exciting than the outgoing one

Hope by July we can have at least
- full leather
- Soft close doors
- acoustic glass

Others would be nice to have back too
- cooled and heated cup holders
-luggage compartment
- night vision
- rear entertainment
- glass control vol

Competitors offer those options. MB has it on many cars , not just premium SUVs. Koreans are starting to offer some for g sakes.
Wtf bmw? Why strip hour premium segment? 100k M50 cars with less options vs launch?

I'd throw in reclining rear seats without the 3rd row option. There's no justification for the X5 not offering that.

i assume my22 would not start production until maybe august 2021 at the earliest? that puts my22 out of reach for me with my current lease ending in march 2021.

i wonder what the chances are of bmw bringing back those option listed in the opening post mid-year (i.e., any day now).

Ordering guides for MY22 should be available in May.

They told me lease extension was for a max. of 3 months if I order another BMW. That would take me to the end of June 2021. However, if SOP for MY22 is August 2021, I would not be able to wait +8 weeks from SOP to take delivery in October 2021.

No Soft Close doors ??

I have a 2013 X5 35i which has, knock on wood, been an excellent vehicle so far. I was planning to replace it with a new X5 but find that the options do not include soft close doors which I have gotten used to and are a great feature; you can rely on the door being closed with a gentle push. Also the color choice is very limited.

Audi, Mercedes, and Porsche all provide this option in the Q7, GLE, and Cayenne. Don't understand why BMW is eliminating this option in the X5. Seems like the decision to not allow ordering 4-zone climate control in the 5 series in the USA.

Hopefully the 2022 options will include soft close doors and the wonderful forest green the first generation X5s had. I have decided to hold off on buying a 2021.

So far they are giving us nanoparticle filter and extra shadowline lights that nobody asked for

Still no word on features removed from 2020 for my2021

Also no movement on adding features people want
- full functioning laser lights
- Decoding for no-dazzle high-beam assistant
- full leather
- reclining second row without 3d
- dhp on 40
- upgraded b58 engine to 382 hp like in x3 m40
