I thought those white colored lighting strips are what projects the illuminated welcome mats when you approach / exit the car.

That comes from the front of the car. There is a small hole in front of the door where the lights projects out.

My 10 year old son was drawing a Lambo Huracan in green ... this looks like a cross between an X5MC and that car ... love it!
