I got a different experience.
At first mine VIN had a stop code on the site and received a call from my dealer.
This week I got a call back from my dealer that it isn't on the list anymore and when I checked the site it was also gone.
How do I check my vin for a Uk order?

I am too stupid to figure out how i can post them but i have a video and some photos.
Maybe i can email them to someone with more brains...
You can add a foto or screenshot from your phone with the paperclip.

I find this new BMW low down in experience disgusting and insulting, for a car north of 80k, and with the delays as result of lockdown, now the recall, you thing the minimum this ever degrading company do is communicate with us with details they can pull, since we can tell our cars are on hold. 20 years and frankly it is worst year in year out BMW finance on our existing deal keep chasing us for news on when our new X5 is to be delivered, our car may miss the government grant planned to be removed with the budget coming up shortly, so massive delays for a car that may end up costing us more! well done BMW this is all happening with model that makes BMW more margins than any other BMW model. I guess with recalls before delivery it makes sense why this car is the most profitable, they invest jack in the build, and certainly nothing in customer satisfaction. sorry folks for ranting out but after 9 months of waiting, to be hit with this new nonsense is simply amazing.

I have a vin for my 45e that is in the factory awaiting transport and the BMW recall site shows no open recalls or technical enhancements for it so at least BMW seems to have a fix in place and already using it in new builds...

Hi Jags

Greetings to a fellow Leicesterian!

I did go through bmw leicester first back in February! But they messed me about! I placed an order for an in stock X6 3.0d M Sport fully loaded. Haggled them down on a list price car of £76,000 to a £2000 deposit and £713 a month 4 year pcp. They were losing money in the deal but wanted to hit targets. I played two garages off against each other.

Anyway they then didn't deliver saying the car had been pulled by another bmw garage in the north! Think that was lies and actually they couldn't honour the finance deal. I insisted they matched the deal on a new order factory build and of course we went into lockdown. They refunded my deposit and cancelled my agreement! I had no choice in this!

When I went back in august the same car spec was £850 a month!

When I asked about the x5 45e with the spec I have now ordered the cheapest they could do was £980 on four year pcp with £2000 deposit!

I have since found a better deal by leasing for four years. Factory build : 10,000 miles per year £2,500 up front then £850 a month for an X5 45e, m sport, phytonic blue, 20 inch alloys, technology pack, comfort plus pack, sky lounge roof and sun protection glass.

No information is provided from BMW on what that resolution might be and how long will it take.
Three day later and in addition to STOP013222 I also got the Recall code 0061670500.
Arranging for a replacement car now.

checking my VIN daily on the UK recall website I went from STOP013222 to 0061670500 this morning, found some additional info on German forum regarding these codes:

STOP020700: High voltage battery

0061580500: Checking the high-voltage battery (VDC)

STOP013222: Impurities High-Voltage Battery 34 Ah

0061670500: Cells in the high-voltage battery

Also checked again just now, originally I only had the STOP013222, now I have both:

"There is an open safety related recall on this vehicle. Please go here to book an online appointment for your vehicle, or contact your local retailer here for more information. Recall code 0061670500.
There is an open technical enhancement on this vehicle. Please go here to book an online appointment for your vehicle selecting "service as required" or contact your local retailer here for more information. Enhancement code STOP013222."

I also called my dealer yesterday to ask for a status update, the only thing they could (or wanted to?) say was that a letter to all impacted customers is being prepared by BMW, which is going to be sent out October 15. Dealer said he had no further information, and did not know anything about the content of the letter (which I find a bit strange, and quite worrying).

In short: I still have no clue what's going on, nor do I have any idea when I might have my car.

This is my first BMW, and although I understand that technical issues can happen, this total lack of official communication does not contribute in making me a happy first-time customer (I'm trying to formulate things in a polite way...).

Mid last week (Oct 1) I had both codes as per the UK site. On Friday the STOP has vanished but Recall code 0061670500 remains. I wonder if someone has actually had both codes disappear one after the other. But I have only slim hopes, 10 days after my scheduled an canceled pick up, still no word from the dealer. I guess the information is lacking from MUC which is rather disappointing.

Still curious about that case in Liege, couldn't find anything about it, why you don't link where you got the photo's from or upload them yourself?

My dealer told me like mentioned already here, there was an issue with a batch from a 3rd party supplier. From all investigations they found 2 cases so far where replacements is needed. (in all hybrids, not 2 45e's) He could confirm my car is fine as it was produced later so there should be no delay in the delivery this month.

I get people are frustrated, but at least they are trying to fix it and investigate every possible impacted car to prevent bad situations. Seems to me, they are taking this very serious which is what we should expect them to do. There's no perfect way to handle this kind of situations. Most people are getting replacement cars while their car is in investigation without any trouble, it should soften the pain at least a bit. We should start pointing at the 3rd party supplier who caused this issue, not BMW for not handling everybody like princes and princesses for a situation they couldn't prevent themselves probably.

Actually you wrong, it is the power and the fact my wife who uses the car daily journey is 10km both ways, short journey simply not good for a diesel engine, we had issues with diesel filters in the past! and compare to a petrol X5 all Hybrid power is simply heaven, in Ireland obviously you not familiar with, the tax system is mind blowing just like in Denmark and Finland, so our car is costing us 85k after the 5 k grant.

We certainly do not buy into the electric green solution crap, the carbon footprint for just producing them is min double the diesel or petrol cars, and for some reason the greens believe electricity comes from trees or something!

But if you happy with the present BMW service, two things come to my mind, one, you are new to BMW so you are simply not familiar to old premium services we use to get, or two, you simply happy to be treated bad while paying premium price, I guess its a free world

I had code STOP013222, today like yourself, I am getting code 0061670500. my dealer is working on getting some information. this report I believe is linked to the High voltage error - https://www.motorbiscuit.com/recall-...possible-fire/

Unhappy

Same on my side, STOP issue vanished and now there is a Recall code 0061670500 instead. No news from the dealer but I had him on the phone 2 days ago. The dealers are doing their best to communicate with customers. This is a brand quality issue and they are dependent on BMW group poor communication and quality control. For a 100k€ car, this is indeed a first sad customer experience.

The frustration is obviously there when you are waiting for 10 months and you get a recall before putting your hands on the car. On top of this, if they cannot deliver in 2020, this will have a major negative impact on my treasury - having to pay unwanted extra taxes for my company. I hope I won’t have to cancel my order for contract breach.

Let’s hope this is going to be just a bad memory soon enough.

Do we know the difference between "STOPxxxxxx" and the plain numeric code? Could it be that the STOP code means "this car needs to be checked whether it is ok or has to be recalled" and the numeric code means "car has been checked and needs to be recalled for repairs"?

That would explain why "STOP013222" (possible impurities) changed into "0061670500" (battery cells must be replaced). In other words, both codes refer to the same problem.

My car also had "STOP013222", but then it disappeared and the car is supposed to be ok.

Here is only a "recallType" associated with the recall and the STOP codes have recallType = "no recall" and the numeric ones are type = "Safety"

I am pretty happy to note that you are not one of those environmental loonies. Thank you for your response I do think that my reply was a bit rude.
I have 2 x5's (f15 and g05) both diesel. Both of which I plan to keep long term. The exhaust components are a headache but longterm cheaper and more reliable IMO if indeed you plan to keep the car.
Like the egr cooler fiasco bmw has form in rushing out models which have 3rd party supply flaws and hence recalls. Lets face it the hybrid and mild hybrid exist to lower emissions and this financially benefits the company and customers but would I own either out of warranty? Probably not. Would I lease them while under warranty absolutely yes.
The G05 is my 7th bmw and I wish you and the firm well.

Have both codes 0061430500 and STOP013222 on the VIN checker for my UK car

Booked my 45e in today at the dealer, they said it needs a replacement charging cable and a “battery cell test”. Didn’t advise me to drive or charge any differently in the meantime

30 minutes later I get an in-car BMW message telling me not to charge the high voltage battery, set battery hold to 30%, don’t use sport mode etc etc

Coincidence?
