Got destroyed by a mustang GT lol

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I was in M1 mode- engine sport, suspension comfort

At a red light and this fucking mustang SMOKED me.

That thing ripped off the line, while our F95/96s are a little slow off the line until 2.5k rpm and then take off like a rocket. I wasn't using launch control or brake boosting to build my PSI. I didn't think I needed it for a shitty mustang GT lol.

The problem is, this mustang simply didn't stop pulling on me like for the entire 1/4 mile or so.

Go to the next light and saw he had a "hellion" sticker on it and boost gauges on his A piller.

Did a little research, fucking 800 WHP hellion kits for this 5.0 coyote engines that do 1/4 mile under 9 seconds on the street. Jesus.

That's not stock set-up, any car can be made blistering fast aftermarket with enough money. They can go fast in a straight line, but not the same driving experience or luxury as the F95 has.

The Mustang guy got his 10 seconds of joy.

You get to keep the rest of the year.

Mustangs have gotten better since Ford changed to an independent rear. Many years ago I had one with a solid axle. Also had done a lot of work on it. Intake exhaust breaks suspension chipped. Was pretty fast for its day. But very scary in the wet! I would take an X5m all day though.

you never know what youre gonna get with mustangs. those guys do some wild things.

"south of the border" I raced a mid 2000s body mustang with an LS1 swapped motor, turbo, trans brake and drag slicks. I have a video but not sure how to post

he beat me by about a car but I was happy with that! I think he ran a 10.3 1/4 mile during the run. it was close until the end when he started pulling hard. I am modded so it wouldn't have been as close if I was stock.

everyone was impressed with my car especially since I had car seats and a dog crate in the back lol

Hmmm. that's interesting given the fact mustangs are not all wheel drive and normally those very high HP cars struggle at start line due to spinning wheels

Yeah, there was no struggle there. Guy took off like a rocket.

Ran into a white X6M in the wild. We were cruising for awhile then starting pulling. This thing hauls ass. I'd love to get one to compliment my M6. X6M for harsh weather/utility and M6 for top down days. You guys are very lucky to be driving these machines.

If you think your X5 M is slow below 2.5K RPMs, you should spend some time driving an S58-powered M and it will make you appreciate your low-end torque a little more

This was in Chicago so obviously not you, but I saw a beautiful M6 the other day on I-94. Looked low-slung, sleek and awesome. Great exhaust note.

I love the look of the M6. Something more unique about it than the M8.

Mine has seen better days. Got her w/ 79k miles on the clock and I'm almost @ 100k miles after just one year. I'm driving the sh*t out of it. The M8 is a beast, loud and fast as hell. Wish I can experience it too. But for now, the V10 w/ a manual is a lot of fun. There's a lot of choices for every taste right now, new and old.

Sometimes I do wonder how I came away unscathed all these years.

Let's see...

Mitsubishi - Cold rain froze within hours. Late April in Michigan. Black ice on the highway. There were cars in the banks everywhere. Good for tow truck businesses. It rolled and landed on its feet. Was pulled out by a tow truck. Drove it to the hospital for my date to be checked out. Fortunately, she was fine. I bumped my head and shoulder. Didn't need to see a doctor.

Prius C - was flooded while parked. I think I got more money than it was worth for trade-in. Mother nature got me, again.

M3 - This one is painful. Definitely operator error but in my defense, some geniuses decided to put curbs in the middle of narrow residential roads which at night is very hard to see. Hit the curb hard and destroyed the tire/wheel/suspension/steering. She was still in top shape at 145k miles. All the major maintenance items were addressed. I still get mad about losing her. She had many many miles to go. I was hoping to hit 300k with it. Fuck that town in Georgia. A week later, I saw a pickup truck that blew a tire because of the same shit. I doubt his truck was totalled though.

I've been with Geico for 10+ years. We've been through thick and thin to say the least. Go Geico!

Here I am, never a single accident and 1 speeding ticket in 20 years of driving and Geico raises my rates every 6 months.

Time to switch insurance company. Nationwide and State Farm raised my rate every 6 months even though I have 0 accidents nor tickets and of course as I age. Need to keep switching to keep the rate low.
