Mineral white - easy to maintain in comparison to some other colours. Nights and evenings give you a completely different looking car. Mineral white also gives a more defined look of the car in terms of curves. I heard too that it also has a better resell value.
Some of these custom colours are insane but you are paying for it. For what your options are on a build without any customization it’s a no brainer for me to pick this option.

Last 4 vehicles have been white which obviously I like. Had my 2016 AW X5 until trading in for 2022 X5 lat June. Fell in love with Arctic Gray!
Lots of compliments

I am a fan of Sunstone Silver Metallic. It suits the car well and you can really see all the lines and creases.

Yup. My pick as well. AG looks the best among the current options IMHO. Although, late last year Dravit was a free option for the M50i if I am not mistaken. I see quite a few around me as well these days…

They always charged $1,950 extra for Dravit.

I think he is referring to the 23 pricing guide. I never verified but assume it was NC for MY23.

Hmm. The online configurator still gives $1,950 for Dravit.

The online configurator has been updated for MY24.

My color preference would depend on the model I would get. If I opted for the M50i instead of the 45e, I probably would've gone with Dravit Gray. I ended up choosing Carbon Black on my 45e and love it since color choices were limited and I didn't want to go the "Individual Color" route. The way the color changes in different light is awesome (imo)... definitely a love it or hate it color depending on who you are and if you like dark blue/purple hues.

Now if I was to get a MY24 X5, I'd probably get Marina Bay Blue in the M60 (with Dravit as a close second) and still end up getting CB for the 50e.

As green was set for my gf and myself and the stock color options for the X5 LCI are quite limited we had to go the Individual route and ended up considering the following colors:

- Oxford Green
- Boston Green
- Verde Ermes Green
- Aurora Diamond Green
- Malachite Green
- Urban Green
- British Racing Green

Boston, Verde Hermes, Aurora Diamond & Urban were out early, because they are just "too loud" or not to our liking.

So we went to the BMW Welt to see all the colors, most on samples except for a Verde Hermes Green X3M, and went with Malachite Green after going back and forth between Oxford Green and Malachite Green. British Racing Green (Uni) was "too light" for my girlfriend and I'm unsure myself about Uni since my 7-Series is "Black II", which is Uni, and an absolute pain to keep clean and you can see every single swirl, chip, etc. and I just LOVE how Malachite Green is right on the edge between being "too loud" and "too boring". Especially the golden shimmer in sunlight is just beautiful and in less light it still looks green while a lot of darker colors just look black at dusk/night.

Malachite Green is a good choice but I'm partial to Verde Ermes.

Oooo just googled Malachite green, like slightly darker than verde Ermes. Though choice, both would look sick… I personally might lean malachite if I wandered to shell out for an individual color, but don’t think I will.

You can't really go wrong here anyways. I was considering Verde Ermes for the X3M (that I was about to order before I learned about the X5 50e) after seeing this video but it's just a bit "too loud" for me, especially on big cars and in direct sunlight. At dusk it might even work on an X5 but in bright sunlight this color REALLY pops, getting all eyes on you. There were times where I would've enjoyed this but I'm in my early thirties now, slowing down a bit.

I think Verde Ermes would work perfectly though on smaller cars like an M2 for example.

When you're inside or there's overcast Verde Ermes really does look just a shade lighter than Malachite but where they are really different is under strong light and especially sunlight. Verde Ermes reflects in a bright, popping green (almost like green chrome if that is a thing. Here you can see how intense this color can be under strong light. I think it's just too much on a big car.) while Malachite Green reflects in a much darker, almost golden way. (Malachite on an X3M for comparison.)

You think Verde Ermes is loud? Whilst a beautiful color, it is also tame and dark. We went with Java Green on our '22 45e. Not a fan of dark colored cars, even if they look nice I don't want a dark color or the same boring grays, whites, blacks, etc. that everyone else has.

Sadly it looks like it is no longer offered on the G05 anymore. At least that is how I'm interpreting it because it doesn't show up on the individual website for the G01/G05. However, if you look at the sedans Java Green is available for them.

Yes I fell like Verde Ermes is quite loud, especially in direct sunlight and on big cars. It will be VERY noticeable in traffic among mostly black/silver/grey cars. But it's obviously a matter of perspective and what you are looking for. While imo it might fit perfectly well on an M2 with a 20yo in it it's definitely too attention drawing for my gf to roll up with on company property in a big X5. Keep in mind though that this is all from the perspective of a European with European culture in general being quite different than American.

There was actually an almost new Java Green X3M with a few kilometers on it for sale while I was in the market for one, but even though it was green the color just wasn't for us. But I agree that if given the option I wouldn't buy a car in black or silver. It just makes almost any car too boring. (Said the guy who drives a black 7-Series. )

Seems people have different opinions on colors which is good since I enjoy seeing cars I like in different colors, even if I wouldn't buy them myself. Circling back to the topic of this thread: Unfortunately the X5 LCI color options are very limited/boring so we will only see the few X5 LCI in exciting colors that went the rather expensive "Individual" route.

Great information in this thread.
I have been stuck in the ordering process for the 50e because of the few available colors. My last three X5 have been alpine white. The one before those was space grey.
I wanted a change and was looking forward to Tanzanite Blue but is a $5,000 addition…
I was wondering how different is the Mineral White Metallic from the alpine white…
Are all the individual colors on the 50e an additional 5k?
Thanks

I am tired of black - grey - white color variations. My few past cars were in this pattern. I like the Blue Ridge Mountain color the best of the new X5 pallet.

Tanzanite is 5000?! It’s always been 2k, no?
