I got the .60 notification from my iPhone this evening. I was on .33 before the notification.
Took about 30 seconds to download it on home Wi-Fi to the phone. 20 minutes driving around to transfer it from the phone to the car. Then another 20 minutes for the installation, parked in my garage. I have not gone through everything. But it appears any BimmerCode coding has been removed. Also, some system settings were set back to default. Otherwise, it appeared to go smoothly. |

After 2-3 weeks of it showing as available in the vehicle, the update finally showed up to download in the MyBMW app on my phone (Pixel 7 Pro). Hopefully everyone else gets good news too!
FWIW, it showed up on 3 different phones the app was installed on - all at the same exact time. |

FYI, I called BMW support today re this. They confirmed that this is a known issue on their end (ie: the app not showing the update), and that they have had the ticket active for around a week. They had no ETA for a fix, but it is known to be broken on the backend, and there's nothing customers can do aside from waiting for a fix from BMW.

Well, my situation is slightly different...both the vehicle and my phone showed an update was available the same day. The app successfully downloaded the update. The app says you must be connected to the vehicle, and when I scroll down, it shows WiFi, BT, Apps all connected, and I've driven over an hour with it that way, and it has not uploaded the data to the X5...more strange behavior. The last time, once I had it on my phone, it started to upload almost as soon as I started to drive it...this time, it's not. The upgrade on that previous instance then worked just fine when I got home again and requested it start.

I have not encountered such failure with any other brand before. And bmw just don't care my M440 shows in idrive that update should be downloaded in the app while the app shows the old software as the latest one my X5 is stuck on version 11/2021.50 saying no upgrade is currently available I'm checking today the status on my 330 |

Seems like it’s been painful for some, and at least a bit of a time suck even if goes smoothly. Are there any major benefits to this update? The release notes didn’t seem that compelling to me

Also showed up in MyBMW app late this afternoon. I had it downloaded to phone before leaving for work. It copied to car while driving to home, and I started the update when home. It looks like it is finally getting rolled out, hopefully others will get it soon too!

Well, calling BMW support turned out to be sub-optimal, as a follow-up. It appears they have "resolved" the issue with the update not appearing on the phone by removing it from the vehicle, so now I cannot get the update.

But the range of different experiences does seem strange. I've had three updates now and they have all installed perfectly, after I learned to follow ALL the the procedures, no matter how unintuitive they might be. |

New this morning, the MY BMW app had a notification that it could finally download the update the car said was available 10 days ago. BMW must have fixed something. I'll find out later if I can actually install it to the car.

The fix which I just did for my 2022 X5 45e is:
Turn car on with engine running. Reboot car system by holding down volume button for 70 seconds. Go to Idrive apps and use console Option button to update apps. Delete your phone and then add it back to reset connection. Update should start. If not, delete app on phone and download again. |

Strange. My 45e stopped showing that message this morning. I did a search on iDrive for a software update and it again found 2022.11. My phone then immediately downloaded the update. As the update was downloading, BMW Twitter account DM'd me and informed me it should be working and to try again. Thankfully, it already was underway and everything installed properly.

It transferred to the 45e whilst I was driving, and then it showed completed when I pulled into the Petco parking lot. Turned it off and instead of my normal 3 messages there was a 4th showing the update was ready to install. Said it'd take 20mins, and that's how long I spent in Petco. Of course all my BimmerCode coding was wiped, BUT it's 10:45p and I just got back from getting Arby's, and the Anti-Dazzle still works! This is the 2nd OTA were it wasn't wiped. *knocks on wood* |

I did this update on my 2020 X5M. Don't notice anything different from before. Update went smoothly and only took maybe 15mins tops.

I haven’t installed 11/2022.60 as of yet. With every software update most coded features were lost including anti dazzle. Will history repeat itself again… Last edited by lknbimmers; 04-30-2023 at 02:38 PM.. |

Today the update disappeared from my car so I was able to hit search for updates again. This time the app and car synced up and I was able to download. Will try installing later.

Just got updated yesterday after being notified for 3 weeks. Happy with the OTA process. Parked the car and follow the screen instructions, click ‘Start’, locked and leave the car. Took 20 minutes.
Lost all the BimmerCode settings! Some features got turned on like auto folding side mirrors intermittently. Startup warning screen only stay on for 2 seconds and went away automatically unlike previous version. Pretty cool! |
