Not sure about Miko, but for me, yes and no.

My wife's M2 is financed, and my CLS is on a lease, and the X3 is our son's. We have a grandchild on the way, and our son is taking his X3 to college in Florida this summer, so we need a practical vehicle because we actually use his X3 a lot for home-depot, the dog, etc., so I'm planning on swapping the CLS for an X3 or X5 lease.

I love the Benz, and got it because my prior 5er lease was totaled, that and I found it to be a dud in the BMW lineup, so I went looking at the new E class, and ended up with the CLS. Only negative is that Merc leases are not as good as BMW's, and I don't like any of the new Merc SUVs, and they sadly don't offer the E53 wagon, and the E63S wagon as amazing as it is, will be very expensive. So I'm gonna enjoy the Benz for a while till its gone for a new Bimmer.

Agreed. M50i is the sweet spot for the X5. From these video's the X5M is obviously an incredibly capable machine, but the M50i gives you 9/10ths of the overall performance at a relative bargain price. Good job to BMW for giving the consumer so many great choices in the X5 lineup.

Like a broken record for most recent M models- great engine and transmission, very good but not great handling, and steering that is precise but with absolutely no road feel.

Lol! Ironically, I think (for my case anyway) 23's will be the sweet spot for this car.. Priced some last night and they're $800 each for the rears

These Autogefuhl reviews are like 10 hours long. He starts by analyzing every line of the car, as if we were blind. EVERY LINE!
Then he tells us about natural animal leathers and whether this car killed the polar bears to have them. Then he just drives around aimlessly trying to find what to say.

Happy to finally see the drive reviews, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’m disappointed to hear the consistent refrain in virtually all of the write-ups (didn’t watch the videos yet) that the ride quality is too harsh - especially when compared to GLE 63s.

The ride quality was and still is my biggest concern about my upcoming ownership experience. I’m still buying this thing and I’m stoked, no doubt about it. I just love the look of the F95 inside and out far more than every other elite performance SAV in its class, so I think I’m willing to deal with the compromised ride comfort...at least for a few years. Maybe I’ll be singing a different tune after I take delivery, making this my first and last X5M, but my first it will most definitely still be. Let the fun begin!

I have never understood why they seem to struggle in this area so much, we can bet the G80 is going to be overly stiff too. Its like they are completely unaware of the 'normal' roads some of us have to drive on, only the super smooth ones in Germany. Incredibly frustrating as its a major issue for what could otherwise be a fantastic car.

Meh.. not terribly impressed. I need the space but I think the X5M is still not competitive against the likes of a RS6 avant or M5 for the money.

And why are they still using window switches out of a 2 series?

I can't agree, for me BMW's worst period for ride quality was the M sport e9* cars with rubber band RFT on them, truly awful bone hard ride so bad that cracked wheels became a feature of that generation, the M version was better with more tyre side wall and no RFT the ride has been getting better through the F8* chassis and on to the G chassis.

I have the new X3M and again the ride is much better than my 2007 Z4C on RFT or any of my previous 5 M cars, I think people confuse a stiff chassis with a harsh ride for me they are different, the cars are getting stiffer but the damping and tyres are better.

I don't mind stiffer suspension at all.

It's like made for me

Haha I remember those. It sounded like a grenade went off inside the cabin when I drove over potholes. Awful.

One more and I am surprised the Russians didn't crash it.

They really redline those cars all the time

Nice to see different colors too

Yeah, I am buying mine on spot but I have the tendency to keep them. If I could lease (and write it off) I will do it, but otherwise doesn't make sense for me. So I buy them. Otherwise I will probably lease every three years.
Mercedes does not have the 12 years anti-rust corrosion protection and they rust. And that's a big no no for me. And while I do respect their tech, design wise there are very few I like. The CLS and E keep a conservatory style outside, but only the CLS interior is appealing to me. The new X3 and the X5 are both nice.
