When switching profiles to my wife’s and back, ambient lighting and mirrors won’t make the switch. They stay at whatever we just set them to. Had the genius at the dealer look at it and he was stumped. Reset everything, rebooted, deleted Conn drive apps, reinstalled. No change. Genius is gonna research and call back.

He also said there were no updates. I pointed out posters here had updates (I’m on 11/2018.55). He’s checking on that too.

He did give me a tidbit though...to stop passenger mirror pointing down in reverse, switch the mirror select to drivers side. Yay. Small victories!

I had the same problem couple days ago, but after an update (11/2018.68), the problem went away. Seem like it updated itself.

Is everyone taking the car in for updates?

I try to update mine and it just tells me its up to date (11/2018.55)

The genius said that BMW was supposed to be pushing out a message to cars/connected drives telling customers to download the update. "Supposed to". That's what everyone always said in the military.

Anyway, I guess it's good to hear that they're maybe finally getting to the point of OTA updates.

I had a similar issue I believe with the preset radio/sat radio, etc. Some things are saved in the profile, others are based on what key was used to lock/unlock it. Try hitting unlock button on the key for the 2nd profile before getting in and see if that helps. Also, make sure you associated each profile with a specific key.
