Yea its a new experience for sure, I'm 6'4" and sit all day at work so I deal with my share of back pain/ being unflexible . I think continuing to go to do yoga should really help with these things , and provide other benefits as well. Its a one week free trial so I am going to squeeze as much as I can into it before having to sign up for the monthly plan lol.

And yes, it is pretty crazy thats for sure!

Went to my second yoga class last night, this one was heated to 100 degrees and it was more intense than the first session I tried. I do enjoy it and am going to continue going to these classes as well as lifting.

They offer a program where you work 1.5hr/wk at the studio , you get paid for it , but more importantly you get a discount on the monthly membership ($79/mo instead of $159/mo) So I am going to do this, will be nice to get a discount, and meet new people .I have not told my girlfriend I am going to do this yet, and don't think she will be very happy about it due to all the ladies in yoga clothing I will interact with ( I think it will be a good time haha)

Christ $79/mo for yoga!? And yet some people in there are most likely paying $159/mo!!? I struggled quantifying the $40/mo I pay after moving from a huge nice gym that was only $10/mo haha. To each their own though

Don't think that'll fly to well with the gf haha let us know how it pans out.

beats the $26/class they want to charge haha . My gym I pay $25 through work a month , the $79 isn't ideal , but I do like the classes a ton of stretching n such in each hour ( plus the scenery is very nice )

Yea I don't think she will like it too much but its only 1.5hr/week and I'm going to continue going to the classes anyways so yea should be okay ( although she won't be happy about it )

Yoga has always been the toughest 90 minutes of exercise, and yet I still miss it so much

I get free yoga for this lifetime and the next from a lady who runs her own place. For Christmas one year I set up a web page and email for her, the studio became profitable at that point

I've been wanting to try it for quite a while now , I'm glad I finally did! The classes I go to are only 60 minutes, but the room is heated to 95-100 degrees it's pretty intense right now but I look forward to it getting easier, and becoming more flexible ! Really hoping it helps with my back pain and such

The thing yoga will do for you, IF you let yourself, is to learn to listen to your body and do what it needs. That might entail getting up 9 minutes early to stretch out that back. Or take that extra 10lbs off and just do 9 reps. Or take a nap.

The idea of yoga in a heated room doesn't appeal to ME, but I have to bring a towel so I don't slip off a mat anyways. Yoga in Yucatán and Jamaica had to happen at oh-dark thirty, no matter how buzzed I still was

Because of yoga awareness I now even put in my shoes differently

Even after the 3 sessions I am learning more about my body and becoming more aware of things, I can't wait to see what progress I make .

I def need the towel, I sweat a TON in there , I'm not 100% a fan of the heat, but the class is at 4PM which is perfect as its on my way home from work and I'm off at 330 so I will deal with it, and it should get easier as I continue to go.

Emergency declaration last night in LA city, governor Newsom to enact the same today in California. Not sure if it covers my work gym or not

Water is just falling out of the sky, so can't run or bike either. Blood sugar is already trending up

Just called my gym to see what they were doing about it since I'm there at 5am and the staff doesn't get in until around 8. They are remaining open until told to close, so I plan to be there every morning until then. Really hoping they don't close, feel like I'm really hitting my stride in there. Eating like a mofo and the weight is going to all the right places. If it closed I'd be forced to run and inevitably lean out since I won't be consuming the same amount of calories that I have been.

So fuck! Just got off work and I'm sitting on the couch instead of getting ready for the gym. This does not feel right and I feel like something's missing

The chain of gyms i attend have temporarily closed. Fortunately, the weather is getting better so I can go for longer hikes with the dog.

Gym was still open this morning. Think they went overboard on cleaning last night, wreaked of bleach haha. Anyways lifted back, had a great day in there. Hoping they stay open, shoulders tomorrow!

Well unfortunately the yoga studio is now closed through end of month at least ( after I just paid for the full month on Saturday ha ) I did make it to the gym last night, but it appears as though it may be closed now, I will find out after work . Going to be really sad if I cannot go to yoga, or the gym for a bit . Will have to work on taking the dog for more walks, and using elliptical if thats the case .
