Probably just paint, can't imagine a different part or material due to the cost/complexity in maintaining that in the lifecycle of the car. Extended shadowline will put you back on mirror caps in the color of the car, it is what I ordered with BSM for my M50i as I felt the contrast with cerium gray did not improve the look. For some colors (white, the missing grays) I would have kept it.

How is the IAS included in the DHP package? I've heard less than positive things about it's driveability.

I perceived his inquiry was on how your M50i drives and steers with IAS - integral active steering (2VH) which is included in the ZDH - Dynamic Handling Package.

At lower speeds, the rear wheels turn oppositely to the front wheels, allowing for a sharper turning radius thereby making parking and cornering easier. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, which helps improve vehicle stability and lane changing.

Reviews that I've seen mention it can be twitchy and inconsistent when cornering.

That is a beautiful X7. Correct wheels for traveling long distance and mixed weather driving. If I was having another baby, this is exactly what I would trade my X5 50i M-Sport on. Start up sounds just like our 50i M-Sport. Love to see a full video tour inside and out of your Rig.
