Finally! VIN populated this morning with build date 4/20. Progress!!

Was feeling left out with everyone getting their VIN's but also got mine today and I am also 4/20 last production day of week 16, should I be concerned it is being built on 420 day, might not be the best work going on that day haha!

I’ve heard the power is severely underrated by bmw (as usual) and that it’s pushing closer to 580HP! Super excited to get mine and get past that dreaded break in period to see the real power. Do you have any favorite or least favorite features in your ownership experience so far?

Congrats! Looks like there’s a few of you on 4/20 I’m sure the work quality will still be top tier (might just be slower than usual that day lol!)

As everybody’s mentioned, the LCI does not have rear comfort handles, but that doesn’t really affect me, the engine is also quieter than my old m50i, which I will solve in a few years, but is not the end of the world for me. Everything else in my mind is an improvement from clearer screens, back up camera, tech , even walking up with my phone and it auto unlocking, etc. The S68 power is a huge difference from the M50i even though it was rated the same by Bmw which we all

I’ve posted my dragy result in another thread, but just so you can see how substantially quicker it is than the N63, here it is I’ll get a quarter mile as well soon.

3.37 with 1 foot rollout. I have multiple similar results. Launch control used - cold weather , high altitude.

Wow thanks for the insights! I figured the m60s would be way more powerful than the m50s because now we get the real S engine!

I’m worried about the exhaust as well, I love a loud aggressive v8 sound but they seriously lack. Was thinking about doing a muffler delete and downpipes but those are risky since it could throw a code and void warranty!

Wow that thing is FAST! 3.37 is crazy for such a big car! I’ve know a few people who tuned their m60is and now they push way more power than even the full x5mc. Amazing what these cars can do

VIN populated yesterday in the online My Garage and today I was able to add the vehicle to MyBMW app with the VIN. It was erroring out yesterday.

That doesn't mean they are building it, you are in queue which you enter about 2 weeks before they build it, you should have the VIN now so use the F12 process to get the build date, but mostly likely if you received your VIN today and entered the queue today, your build date will be 4/20 which is actually the last day of week 16.

I recvd the vin a few days ago, I don’t know if it’s definitely ahead of schedule as I haven’t been on the F12 and had a chance to look, I will tomorrow.
Seems based on my past orders it’s ahead of schedule & from reading others posts.
I’m fired up, love these vehicles

If you got the VIN a few days ago then your build would be about two weeks from now so Week 16.

My build date is now moved even earlier to 4/9! WOOHOO! Was originally scheduled as a week 16, BMW is moving quickly with these MY25’s so far

I am doing PCD and will be traveling the first 2 weeks of May so any move up of my build (still scheduled for 4/17) will not benefit me as the earliest date for PCD offered to me was 5/16, when I am traveling.

That PCD delivery will be well worth the extra wait. Haven’t done it yet myself but it looks tremendously fun!

Production date and build date are the same thing just different ways of saying it! It’s the day your assembly should begin
