I would assume they are using that as a MY differentiator and it will not be available bye update.

From what I have seen it is part of the Highway Assistant which is not available on the X5 M.

I went to the dealer Feb 24 to order a new X5 x40i, M Sport, in upgraded Ametrim Metallic color. I was told that BMW would not be making any more MY24 cars in that color, so I decided to order the MY25 and wait a few weeks additional for delivery. I called the dealer yesterday, looking for my production number, but was told they still couldn’t process the order for the 40i, but they saw that their orders for MY25 M60 and 50es were going through.

Any thoughts on what is going on? maybe they havn’t got their allocation for the 40i yet?

My FiL was able to order an Ametrine X40i MY25 and received the production number. This was at the beginning of the month shortly after allocations came out. So not sure why your dealer’s order are not going through.

Nope will not be available.

Welcome to the forum. BMW cut back on the colors available for MY24 the other month so that makes sense.

They don't have an allocation for you so you will be in the order bank. Hopefully next month they get one that would be available to fill your order. All dealers got their allocations a few weeks ago so they must have already sold theirs.
