Poplar grain light anthracite brown open pored (4KT)
I was wondering how easily is the Poplar grain light anthracite brown open pored (4KT) trim gets scratched as it's not glossy.
Thank you for the responses. |

I was wondering that myself, but so far over 6 months, no scratches. I don't have kids or passengers in the car often, however, so your mileage may vary (no pun intended). There is cut-to-size/pattern clear protective film available from a couple of Chinese vendors, but haven't tried and fear it may cause more trouble if needed to be removed later.

A few months, but really, no issues at all with surface finish compared to gloss anything. In all my previous cars with glossy trim, every 6 months or so I would use a plastic polishing compound to buff out scratches, of which there were many. Unavoidable with glossy trim, no matter how careful you are. With the matte poplar, even if it gets scratched you'd never be able to tell unless it was very deep, and then you'd likely be able to fill it, or just leave as-is and it would look normal.
