This is hilarious - I was set on MG with M sport and shadow line and my wife said "no get the carbon black." Now I am think about switching back to MG 0 I think it looks amazing with the black trim. Mind, I'm still waiting for a better factory audio option to come available so I may be waiting a bit.

I love my MG X06. I originally wanted another color but when I saw the MG...hooked!! Fortunate for me, the wife loved the color as well....LOL!! All I had to do was pull the trigger. BLUF...you like what you like regardless of age!! If you haven't already...pull the trigger on the MG. Do it....Do it!!

After seeing hundreds of whites, blacks, and blues driving around I wanted something different.
The color does shift a bit in the light but with the M50i shadow line trim and dark wheels I think it's sharp. |

Looking good! Is that tartuffo interior? Not many of those out there. I looked around for a bit when mine was caught up with the touchscreen delete. Only one other available in the US when I was looking.

That`s Tartuffo, yes. I`ve ordered it in the beginning of August and got it 4 weeks later. Thank god, there was no problems with touchscreens back then).

Love the green!

Last year I bought a jeep in sarge green because I love green! So I do have at least one green car and it also looks different when viewed in sunny vs cloudy. If I was ordering my x5 today (and I didn’t all ready have the green jeep) I would really want this color! |

I can't make up my mind on this color, in some specs and lighting it looks terrible, whereas in others it looks hot. I concur with some of the other posters, gotta get M sport with the wheels and trim blacked out. Looks nice that way.

I love the color - but then again I am a fan of what is different. With our order, though, my wife wouldn't let me branch out on it. Then again, it is her car so I guess she has some say...
Either way, beautiful color and congrats to those who chose it. I think the only reason some people might think it skews a bit older is it in somewhat reminiscent of champagne-type colors that are definitely older (think sand colored lexus). But in person, the color definitely impresses. If I was forced to choose I actually think it skews younger. BMW needs to a better job with its online build configurator when it comes to colors. No reason that they shouldn't be able to include more life-like, real photos. The deviation on things like trim, etc., really make you want as much info as possible online so that we can dream appropriately. |

On BMWs website configuration, the Manhattan Green Metallic looks absolutely terrible, so we never considered it. And ordered our M50i in Black Sapphire, which I didn’t really want, but the color options on the M50i are very limited and I didn’t really like any of them.
Until I saw this thread… and realized that the MGM color actually looks AMAZING in real life and in photos taken in sunlight. Kind of like military green with a ton of gold/bronze colored metal flake in it. Very deep, rich, bronze looking metallic paint job! Infinitely more beautiful than black, white, silver, or gray. And much easier to keep looking great than black. The photos shared in this thread prompted me to seek out a MGM on a dealer’s lot, so we could see it in person. We saw it today in the sunlight and it is STUNNING, so we changed our order from Black Sapphire to Manhattan Green Metallic, and SO glad we did. I didn’t really want black anyway, so this thread was a major, significant find for me. THANK YOU ALL! This color really sets the vehicle apart from all the white, black, and silver BMWs running around Scottsdale. Even though the MGM color isn't quite accurate in these BMW configurator photos, I have color corrected the images to be somewhat more indicative of the actual color - this is the vehicle as we're ordered it. Loaded. The Manhattan Green Metallic paint color is quite accurately depicted in these "real world" photos, which I snapped yesterday with my iPhone. And here's a good video showing the color well...

I've seen this color multiple times in person. Pictures really doesn't accurately capture the color. You need to see it in person before ordering. I can see this being a "bad surprise" if you order sight unseen

Yes, if you decide to order this color based on BMW's photos on their website configurator, you are likely to be surprised when you see the color in person! On BMW's website, the color has a distinct brownish look, which is not at all true to the actual paint color. The paint is actually a pale cool green, with a rich gold/bronze sparkle from the deep metal flake. No brown in there at all. In sunlight, the gold metal flake gives the color a gold bronzy/pale green sparkle. In dim shadow light, the color is less saturated, a little more grayish green, but the gold metal flake still imparts a deep beauty to the paint. Below you see two photos, the top one is from BMW's website, and is not representative of the true actual MGM color! You must not judge the color of Manhattan Green Metallic from BMW's website. The second one is a photo taken of MGM, in real world daylight conditions. The second photo does a very good job of conveying the actual color of the paint. It's a rich, beautiful finish, if you like the color! My wife (as others mentioned here) generally does not like green vehicles, nor much of green anything - surprising to me as nature provides a green foliage background to every colored flower from the rainbow, but when she saw this Manhattan Green Metallic... she likes it! Nature tells us that green goes well with ALL other colors! I submit that many actual photographs of Manhattan Green Metallic, taken outdoors in natural light, convey the look of this color much more accurately than what is displayed on BMW's website. While it is always nice to see ANY vehicle's paint color in real life vs. manufacturers website, there are many user's real world photos that do a pretty good job of conveying the look of this paint color. Bottom line is this: you don't have to see the color in person to get a pretty accurate idea of what the color looks like in person - just review a broad sampling of photos of the color, and ignore the look of the color on BMW's website.

Just saw your other post that id'd yourself as a jar head. Now I understand your MGM preference. Hey - "If it's Green it's groovy"! Right? (USMC Parris Island Nov. 10, 1970)

My wife thinks I'm a little obsessive but before I ordered our 2022 X5 45e I trolled various BMW lots in Toronto so that I could compare Manhattan Metallic green and Arctic Grey. Saw both in indoor and outdoor lighting and MM green was the winner for us, especially in a sea of black, blue and white X 5's.
The other small consideration for us is that, as a PHEV, its a "green car" in our jurisdiction and it comes with a non-optional white and green-lettered G license plate. The plate also gives me the privilege of running in the HOV lanes here without regard to the number of occupants in the vehicle. |

I think this color is for ALL people of good taste! .
If you want to stand out from the crowd, and you like how this looks... you will LOVE the color in person! Beautifully bronzy! In case you are wondering... these are the 747M wheels, powder coated semi-gloss black.
