Looking to buy CPO 45e or 50e

hi everyone!
what is the opinion on a used 2023 45e, low milage, im assuming one of the later 45e produced. VS a 50e from last year?
aside from the cosmetic differences and idrive are there any differences in ride quality and handling for 2 similarly speced cars? i see the 45e still has driving assistant pro, for eg.
wondering if going 45e is the best option given what ive seen posted on these
forums, or maybe wait it out a few months for a later 50e?
thanks!

Believe consensus will be that 50e is better performance but 45e is far more reliable.

The 50e has a much better range. I would personally go for it as it is IMO one of the first SUV to finally have an acceptable range for commuting. 45e might be a lot cheaper to find tho.

Garage List
The 50e is the poster child for having everything in place to be great but screwing it up with a garbage product. Their unreliability kills them for me.

Some people don't have issues. Some people have endless, unsolvable issues. You didn't see that with the 45e. I'd buy a 45e.

Do not touch a used 50e. Decent chance it was traded in by someone that was tired of the issues with it. The 50e is an excellent SUV if it was more reliable. Give BMW time to figure out the problems.

I guess you’re probably right about a used 50e. If it’s nearly new and hasn’t been a demonstrator it’s probably been traded in because of its problems.
Here in the UK the 50e also has a mandatory recall on it due to an issue with the integrated braking system. It seems every single CPO 50e is waiting for that repair also at the moment

Unless you are getting a great deal, maybe consider a new 50e. I’m sure the bugs will be worked out one day.

The battery is bigger, it’s a lot faster, and WAY more powerful on all-electric mode. I think the 50e on electricity alone is a dog, so I’m not sure how 45e owners manage when in all-electric mode
