That's expensive compared to around here. I don't pay it as windshields are covered 100% with no deductible in FL if you have comprehensive coverage. The state wants you to fix the windshields.

These windshield with HUD are very soft and it is very easy to get chipped. I'd just repair it to prevent spreading (most insurance I know waive deductible so no out of pocket) and drive for a while until there are more chips and need to be replaced.

Yeah, that's my thinking too. I have a $0 deductible (required here in AZ) for either repair or replacement. I'll try the former first. I'm sure to get another chip sometime soon. I'm just worried that if the repair isn't nearly invisible, it'll be distracting because it's in my line of sight.
