Samsung S24 Ultra Digital Key iDrive7

Maybe this was already known info (nothing in search) or expected to work, but figured someone might be on the fence about purchasing the S24 Ultra in regards to digital key compatibility. I have a 2023 X5 M50 with iDrive7.

Anyways, all I had to do was connect/pair my phone to the iDrive system, reset the digital key in iDrive settings, then just followed the instructions in the MyBMW app. It was fast and glad I didn't have to wait.

i hvae a 22 x5 and s24 ultra and i'm getting "cannot store key" error message. it worked fine with S21U.

I'm going to call dealer and see if I'm doing correct process, but i'm just following the prompts and no joy. (yes everything is up to date app wise)

Did you pair the phone to the car before starting the digital key process? I received the same error and it was due to me not pairing the phone first and not resetting the digital key in the iDrive settings.

I had the same experience as you on 01/30. During the phone setup it actually transferred the DK from my S23 Ultra to my S24 Ultra, and I just needed to redo the pairing process again. Works like it did on the old phone.

I was actually worried if it was going to work right off the bat, because when I switched from the S22 Ultra to the S23 Ultra it did not work until Samsung pushed out an update.

That's exactly I was hoping to avoid and luckily the S24 is ready to go.

Has anyone paired a S23+ with 2024 X5 DK with no issues?

Paired s23+

No problem getting the Digital key, pairing et al to work. I had to break down and dump my S9 (don't laugh), and got a S23+ for the UWB technology. Everything worked fine, followed instructions from manual. 2024 X5 M60i vehicle.
