Smile X5 m60i Week 39 Production & Est. Delivery

Two years of research and finding allocation at a discounted price, have a week 39 production of my new 2024 M60i!

Per the BMW USA rep it should be delivered at the very beginning of November but that's subject to change and not to base anything off their estimate. Excited to see the process evolve and zero in on a date during the holidays and in between travel schedules.

- Driving Assistance Pro Package
- Executive Package
- Parking Assistance Package

Nice build. I’d recommend leather over sensafin.

Beautiful car. What kind of discount did you get after such a long time searching?

I got it at $7k off Msrp. I reached out to many dealers across the U.S. and had a couple play off each other. I held firm on discount and months later two dealers within days of one another said they had allocation and agreed on price. If I picked up something off the lot then they would have given a bigger discount. No sense in spending MSRP now. I put down the deposit and have a signed quote and personal production number. Dealer is also delivering to me out of state at no additional cost, but it’s only a few hundred miles away.

Side note. Is leather that much better than Sensafin? Went with Sensafin since it’s supposed to be more durable with less fuss.

Ive had the Merino in my past 2 G series BMWs and didn't think it was anything special. Also don't think the color choices and seat design is nicer than sensafin. Personally I found the sensafin to be softer and more attractive regardless what its made of. This is the way cars are going....

Nice job on the discount! I got about $8k off my M60 thats getting built this week but mostly because I purchased my last M50 from the same out of state dealer. They had an allocation they allowed me to take. For the most part that seems like its on the high end right now. Locally I wasn't able to take anything off MSRP.

Have you done this before? I too ordered from a dealer about 200 miles away, my local dealer has no allocation (told me 3-4 months wait).

Now my car being built (only waited two weeks), I need figure out logistics. And wondering if I should ask dealer to deliver to me.

I’ve done it numerous times. I live in SC and buy my BMWs in GA. The dealer will deliver it to me for $350. I rented a one way car from Enterprise @$175. The dealer picked me up at Enterprise and I had a nice drive home in my new X5.

Same build as mine except for the Sensafin.

You will love it!

Mine just flipped yesterday. Showing a build date of 9/26, but since I'm doing PCD I get to wait almost a full month before getting it.

I just went to 150 today. Evidently moved up from week 40 to now anticipated 9/26 build date. But PCD is 10/26, so a full month later.

Not all dealers participate, you can pick up your X vehicle at the factory and get a free performance session.

Smile Patiently Waiting

Mine was also originally week 39 (production date of 09-25-23). Entered step 150 and received VIN on 09-11-23.

Yesterday, I noticed that my production date has now moved up to Friday, 09-22-23. Hopefully I don't get mismatched seats.

Welcome to the forum. Now that you are in Production Begins you can use the "F12" process to get you production date.
