Delivery within South Carolina from Spartanburg

I live about 1hr and 1/2 away from the Spartanburg plant. My car has been in Port status for 3 days.

Where are they sending the car to? What is the process if we live near the plant?

You would think it would be delivered sooner being so close to the plant.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you ordered accessories (floor mats, cargo mat, etc) with your vehicle, it goes the At the Port when those are being installed.

Will the vehicle be directly transported to the dealership or placed on a train?

It will go directly to the dealer by truck. Only West Coast deliveries go by train.

I live in HHI but purchased from BMW Macon, GA. Car was at the dealer 3 days after production but I did not order any accessories. Many who did are reporting 3-7 days at the Accessories Center or whatever it's called.

That sucks! Shouldn’t take that long to put in some mats.

The ironic thing is that when they opened the Accessories Center they touted it as a way to make deliveries faster. That may be true for installing some carbon fiber parts but not for simple things like mats. My guess is that if enough dealers complain that will change. But most folks who order a new one have no clue as to the tracking and what is happening so unlikely many will complain to the dealer.

That is what happened to me in early September, mine sat at the port for several days just for the floormats and cargo mat. I would definitely got them separately had I known it would've taken them that long.

These floor and cargo mats extended my car a week. It won’t be delivered until Monday.

The whole process has been exactly 4 weeks from order until delivery.
