Correct. We got the brown ash grain wood trim not the poplar matte. When I hear back from dealer I’ll keep everyone posted.

You would have to look around at parts sites and they may have it I there. As nZtiZia mentioned Auricom may be able to give you some info.

Not sure if it will be more expensive, they maybe just don't want to fool around with it.

CoachLarry , you ended up with 032W didn't you? IF so can you please test the kick to open? We haven't had anyone test yet whether the top will open/close with a kick. Thanks

Do you mind snapping and sharing a few photos. I'm curious what you think about what you got. It's not what you ordered but can you live with it? $2,500 seems a nice offer. I'd also personally prefer to not have so much of my interior disassembled for the trim swap. I know from personal experience over the years that no matter how hard I try I often break a clip or two when removing interior pieces and then you have to worry about a squeak or rattle.

Did not have 032W. We don’t have kick to open either. Maybe because we had hitch installed?

032W = manual lower liftgate. Did you mean to say you did have 032W? I assume yours is not automatic based on build date.

I believe week 16 was last build without 032w. Our tailgate is power.

There's been no indication the upper tailgate is affected; only the lower. i doubt the upper tailgate would ever become manual unless the parts shortage becomes dire

Ok dealer made things right and has ordered the correct wood trim. All but one piece was available stateside so we may have to wait a bit for all the pieces to arrive but he said as soon as they are in he will scheduled us to replace it. I’m glad they owned the mistake and made it right. This is our first BMW and things like this go a long way in my book when it come time for our next vehicle. Glad to be part of the family.
