Mine was build the same week for Belgium, but is halted with a "no recall" technical enhancement

Mine has a “no recall” for the apple CarPlay issue

Mine was built 27 April, I believe it's random and that the bug only affects certain chips

Thanks for that, I wonder if we both have the same chipset but the software was available when your car was built but not when mine was.
As I have no identified the campaign notice I have emailed my dealer asking if they can carry out the update before I take delivery as I would rather wait than take the car without CarPlay or Bluetooth streaming

Have arranged to pick my car up on Friday, it has been at the dealership for a couple of weeks as I wouldn’t collect it until they had sorted CarPlay.
Ordered 4/2 built 6/4 and will collect 27/5
Really pleased it will have CarPlay.

Just chatted with the online genius and my X5 40i was delivered to the dealership yesterday (31st May)

Shouldn't be to long before I'm able to go and pick it up....oh, and pay for it too.

BMW Genius...I can confirm that your X5 was delivered to the dealership on May 31st.

Called the dealer today just to make sure it had arrived, dealer "yes it has arrived, let me just look on my screen to double check, erm...yes my screen is saying it's arrived but we're not sure where it is. Let me look on another screen, erm...I haven't got the authority to view that screen sorry. I'll email my manager, by the way I'm going away for a few days after the bank holiday, I'll be back at work on Wednesday"

So...it's just a waiting game, again.

Yet more waiting...

My car has been located, it wasn't delivered to the dealership on May 31st, it was delivered to a compound in Doncaster which is no where near my dealership. Apparently it's awaiting a technical update but no one seems to know what the update is. I had a provisional date of June 18th to go and pick up the car but I've now been told that it isn't due at the dealership until June 16th so there's no way it'll be ready for the 18th...so, the wait goes on.

Great news, my X5 has finally been delivered to my dealership, they sent me a sneak preview of it earlier on today.

I'm picking it up on Saturday.

Maybe you can explain...so many Brits seem to cherish their sunroofs. Assume it's the (somewhat) rare delight of a sunny day?

I've live in Southern California, driven BMW's for 30 years, and not sure I've opened a sunroof more than twice in my life.

The wait begins..... Ordered X5 45e M Sport 7th June 2022, Expected delivery date quoted by dealer... 14th June 2023!! Hopefully it won't be that long as my X3 M40D PCP ends March 2023. Reading the forum the guys in the US have way shorter lead times.

Partly right but for me it was the lure of the "Skylounge", a very expensive way to have coloured led's above you.... at night!
