Order status

So...this past week/past 2 days, my order status on the Genius site has gone BACKWARDS from SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION (I was give an 8/30 date by dealer) to ORDER RECEIVED. Should I be panicking yet??

Have you tried calling the hotline and seeing if they have a estimated completion date available?

Not yet...weekend. I will Monday though. Frustrated with these shortages...and of course, now I NEED a car.

Too late for today but in case you need it in the future, Genius has hours on Saturdays - 10:00am - 7:00pm ET.

Spoke to both BMW Genius and SA today. SA told me that some of the options selected had parts/availability issues (which I believe - but everything selected was off the MY22 Sales Guide)...Genius told me it was still scheduled for week 34 (originally was 32 I guess).

Bottom line I guess....it comes when it comes.

Yes, I've had an actual 2021 production number since June. Was in status "scheduled for production" until today.

gotcha, I thought its for 2022. I got an allocation for 21 but want to go individual paint and factory said gotta wait till 2022 models for that..

What package/option did you order that you think is having availability issues on?

Conversation was over email, and he didn't say what caused the issue. Packages I ordered besides executive were M Sport, 22inch wheel, Merino leather, M Brakes, Heated front/steering and the parking package

UPDATE on my '21 X5M: Today (2 days after initial regression). The tracker now shows scheduled for production with 2022 model year. Just like my sales manager had said. Order number is the same. Now I have to freshen up on what the new MSRP is based on the small 2022 changes.

These are almost the same options I got, with executive as well. When did you place your order? I placed mine on June 23 -- it still says 'order received' for me.

My M50i went from Scheduled for Production to Order Received as well. Believe initially I was scheduled for Week 32.

This happened to me once during the wait for my May build for an M50i. When it went back to scheduled for production they moved it forward a week. I never got an explanation why it changed back to order received on the tracker for a few days.

Order placed June 23 as well.....at least with the dealer SA. Still showing as order received..but Genius yesterday did say week 33 (or 34 I forget) scheduled...

Not only Genius has showed Order Status update - scheduled for production...but my SA emailed to say it's true too. Fingers crossed...things might be starting to move!

Update = Online, Vehicle went to SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION July 30. I was told by Genius on the phone it was to be week 34. Today - 6 AUG - has moved to PRODUCTION BEGINS with a VIN
