Any news on Harman Kardon for 45e

I am nearly ready to submit an order for a 45e for a June delivery, but am holding off because of the missing Harman Kardon option. I know this is supply chain/chip shortage driven, but has anyone heard anything about it coming back any time soon? Trying to decide if I just deal with the standard audio or hold off for a later delivery if it might come back.

if you are already down to a June build, might as well wait a few weeks and get MY23, regardless of HK situation.

He'll need to wait longer for MY23 production which is Aug/Sep.

That's an option. Although is MY23 order in Aug/Sept or deliver in that timeframe?

It should start production 8/1 or thereabout.

Is your build date out so far because your dealer doesn't have allocation or are you waiting to come out of a lease? We were lucky that our dealer had allocation for our 45e and we have delivery at about 6 weeks from order date. The plus to the summer, though, may be the lucky possibility that more features are added back in the meantime (wireless charging and towing alone were added back in the 6 weeks since we ordered).

I've just ordered a 45e here in Ireland. Dealer originally said HK not available but rang me back as he was putting the order in to clarify that both HK and Wireless charging are available options again. Expected delivery of car July.

Yeah, we're coming off of a lease in June. We have some options to extend it out if that helps us get options back. That's why I was asking if anyone had heard any positive news on that front. My dealer just told me last week that HK was not available but didn't elaborate on when it might be.

Got my 45e production number yesterday... HK (nor any other audio) upgrade is available.

Also personally I like my MY22 and not a favor of new face lift and smaller headlights from the rumor photos

I am wondering what will be the change for X5 2023. I bet the price will be raised, especially the 45e which has been reduced several thousands dollars from 2021.

Probably nothing but the price. Hopefully of course some features/options come back.

Today I put an order in for an X5 40i fully loaded, asked if HK was available and if so to go ahead and select it for me when ordering.
The response I got was they haven't been able to add HK for quite a while now and it is not available in their selector.
I'll live without it.
Tomorrow I transfer the down payment to make it official.

That is great news! But now the painful part. My build date is 3/23. Any way to add this? My SA is saying no, so I may abandon my build and have to re-enter the queue...

Ours just entered "production begins" last Thursday and now it's too late to add. Our dealership has a modifiable 45e and kindly offered us to swap to that allocation with delivery in mid April. I did listen to the HiFi system at the dealership in February and it's actually okay. My wife will be coming out of an Audi e-Tron with the premium B&O system and would she would prefer the HK so looks like we'll be waiting an extra month. I told her "just watch a whole bunch of other stuff will get deleted while we wait." I meant it jokingly…but who knows in this world.
