Week 35 Build

Picked up over the weekend, this thing is a beauty! Drove over 200 miles already and it was so much fun (other than the first half hour when I realized how much bigger more powerful it is comparing to my old forester and was driving like a student driver lol )

The Cognac Sensafin. I personally like silverstone better but have a baby coming and white interior will be so painful to maintain.

Doing my best to stay patient here… car arrived at final rail destination (~80 miles away) 1.5 weeks ago and dealer still hasn’t managed to have it delivered. Promised date keeps slipping and slipping. Annoying.

You have your location showing as Denver but that obviously is not the case if yours went by rail. Where on the West Coast are you?

San Diego. Car arrived at San Bernardino on Labor Day. Has apparently been on a transport truck for six days now and has blown by multiple delivery projections. Dealer clueless about what is going on.

What does it show for your status in MyGarage?

They usually go back to In Transit when going from the port to the dealer. Make sure you check it over closely when it does arrive, it could be it was damaged and is getting fixed.

Yeah, I have bad vibes on this one. Not helped by having the least knowledgeable sales guy I’ve ever met.

Dealer is now claiming that it was delayed at port because they were waiting for parts on a port installed option. Are there even any port options on the X5 50e? I don’t have an unusual build.

No, there is nothing installed at the port (meaning when yours got off the train) for the X5. Accessories that are part of the build are now installed at a facility near the factory in Spartanburg. When that occurs then the vehicle will show At the Port.

Fwiw, car finally showed. Only 4 miles on odo, no damage, nobody can explain delay. So who knows. Car super nice though!

It was a week 34 actually, just jumped in this thread because there wasn’t a separate 34. Going to detail it this weekend and will post up.
