Does anybody, with a "week 19" build car, in Europe has his car delivered yet?

Mine has a build date of 9th of May, but still has 2 recalls open (0061860600 and 0065630300), delivery date was postponed with 2 weeks and the dealer cannot confirm the new delivery date will be met. Car seems to be located in Bremershaven and is just waiting for the multimedia screen to be installed.

In the meantime I see the US cars are being delivered even cars that are ordered after my build date are already being delivered... So there isn't a shortage in multimedia screens.

Really getting annoyed by this... a 100k+ car with such a lousy customer service...

My car was produced in May, got to Germany (Bremerhaven port) in June and is still sitting there (currently waiting to be transported to Poland). It had one defect, 0065630300 (Retrofitting the central information display) which was solved over a month ago.

Has anyone picked up a car which had the same defect? Any "side effects" (visual/assembly quality/etc.) of the central screen being added outside the factory?

I am a bit concerned as adding/retrofitting the central screen is not a simple "plug in" type of activity, big part of the dashboard has to be disassembled and put back together, it's not really a brand new car assembled in a factory that we will receive. Unless I am missing something...

Cheers,
Daniel

I think you are thinking about the instrument panel and not the central information display. That is the one that sits on top of the dash and is a fairly simple process to install it. We had a number of members here remove and replace theirs by themself without too much hassle.

All should be good.

Hi Daniel, I was in the same situation and recall code.
Received mine a week ago and there is nothing making you think it was installed afterwards, all looks and feels factory new! no worries !
Hope you'll receive it quickly now, it's worth the wait!

Mine was produced April 30. Status 165 since end of May. Recall still open. Waiting for more than two months now.

I am not so much worried about the retrofit. I am worried about the location close to salt water and what it does to the car.

Quick update, I have finally received my car, 4 month after it was produced. foxG21 was right, there is nothing that makes me think that the central screen was retrofitted in Germany, everything looks and feels factory new. I was also worried about the frozen black paint but it arrived in a perfect condition. And I must say I really like the new toy, it was worth the wait .

Thank you everyone for all replies.

Cheers,
Daniel

And all closed since today! Only 6.5 month after production.
