What catless DPs are you using? and who tuned your car? I am picking up my 19 40i this weekend and am looking to modify it asap

Awesome! Thank you for the links! How does it sound with the Catless DP's and M Performance Exhaust?

It sounds awesome. The turbo spool is really noticeable and the exhaust note is deeper and sportier. It does burple/pop when up or down shifting. I posted a video not too long ago in a thread that I started. It's only a couple of threads below this one.

Talking carbon fiber air intake for 40i

https://www.armaspeed.com/product/bm...ld-air-intake/

I have had a high interest on this air intake, however, it was for x6 only initially.

After contacting with the vendor and express my interest. I learned that it actually fits x5 properly. Has anyone took a chance with them and how's their quality control? any feedback?

This is great info. Thank you

The CEL eliminator is unfortunately out of stock so I'll have to wait.

What are the repercussions to not having a catless dp? I'm asking because I have the JB4 with the BMS intake you recommended earlier (you're right, the sensor slot needs filed down). I realize flow will be inhibited without the dp (and thus hp reduced), but am interested to know if the back pressure will cause engine damage etc.

Also, my X5 2021 40i is only 10 months old and has just 5K miles on it - do I need to replace coils/plugs? Or should I wait to replace?

Thoughts anyone?

Catless dp will give you more power and torque. The turbo will spool faster. There is no disadvantage to running a catless dp other than the CEL light and smell. It will void warranty, but I would remove and install stock dp before any service work. My car had around 500 miles when I modded it. You'll be fine.

Just put a drop in K&N or AFE and call it a day. You simply can't get any better than this.

An intake isn't going to net you any gains for the M50i which looks like the same system as the X5M. Even the Dinan intake just released for the X5M doesn't advertise any HP gain.
