So, went to the dealer just before Christmas, went through the order process, but they found a similarity equipped at another dealer that they were going to get. So I went home and had Christmas etc. Called up after New Years, salesperson said they could make a trade so they put in the order for me. Should I call the salesperson to talk about discount now, or should I wait until the car is at the dealership? From what I'm hearing, the discounts are hard to find because they're selling cars as soon as they get them.

I got 6% off MSRP plus the PenFed rebate. Ordered car mid-October; picked it up early December. No prior relationship with dealer or BMW. X5 M50i. Had to buy in Wisconsin as the dealers in Twin Cities were only selling at MSRP.
Located in twin cities also. No local dealers willing to deal. I got 6% plus $2500 in Rochester this Fall on 22 45e. Dealership experience was less than ideal but the savings was worth the short drive.
Nice work on the discount at Park Place. When I reached out to them they weren't offering discounts as generous. You have any recommendations between Motorwerks vs. Tonka for service work?

Motorwerks is closer so I'll likely go there. I didn't get a great feeling from Tonka staff.

Not sure how much luck you're going to have with this is they need to trade for the inventory.

$2500 off 2022 MSRP X5 in PA before the recent price hike in Jan (that saved me another $1200 or $1300). NJ dealers (Bridgewater, Flemington, Morristown, Springfield, etc.) all selling for MSRP and don’t want to talk about discounts. Car arrives 1st week Feb.

Kind of crazy as I typically ordered a car and got ~10% off MSRP easily after all incentives pre-COVID. Audi dealers sometimes could go 14% off MSRP after incentives. Now same story as BMW. Basically what you see on window or good luck.

Most luxury brands (at least here in Texas) are MSRP but no Market Adjustment. Most other dealers (Toyota, Honda, Kia, Subaru, etc.) are wanting Market Adjustment ranging from $2500 to 20k.

My sister literally just bought the newest Lexus NX Hybrid Premium for $2000 cheaper than the Toyota dealership down the road wanted for a RAV4 Hybrid, its funny.

Tough to get discount right now. I must have contacted almost every dealership in California, Vegas, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Arizona and most were asking 5k over MSRP for 45e. Found handful of dealerships which were willing to place an order for MSRP.

With prices set to go up in Feb. - it's probably best to just order it at MSRP if you find it. 2022 is gonna be like this.

Garage List
2023 BMW S1000RR  [0.50]
2022 BMW F900XR  [3.00]
2022 BMW X6 40i  [0.50]
2020 BMW M2C  [9.50]
FYI, my dealer will not offer below MSRP for folks that are not local. Might be similar for others.

I think this is one of those times where you're going to have to go with MSRP and tell dealers to get lost on Market Adjustment and or Dealer Add-ons. If you have a Costco membership, you can see if there are dealers around that offer that discount, but the best I found was -$750 off MSRP out of State.

Unless there are some other incentives that Pop-up, the best way to save some money is go with a 45e and bank on the Federal Discount. I know when we were looking at the xDrive, the 45e was a whopping $255 more for the same features... So I'll consider my Federal Tax Credit and State Credits my discount for now

Allentown in December. MSRP went up in Jan on 2022 models so you will be negotiating with a sticker for 2022 models that are now $1200-$1300 more than a 2022 model cost to order in December. Plus I hear the low interest rate is toast pretty soon.

Also if your a BMW Car Club member they offer $ off sale price but you need to be a member 6 months before purchase and the discount can’t be combined with any other corporate discount.

I would worry about ownership of a 45e out of warranty. That battery will not be cheap to replace. I bet north of $7k federal incentive. Also no independent shop will touch new tech like that and dealers will crucify you when trading in a vehicle with an old battery (with an unknown life span).

Are you maybe referring to the BMWCCA rebate? If so, it is not part of the sales transaction. You need to apply for it after you take delivery. You need to be a BMWCCA member for 12 months or have purchased a non-refundable three year membership at least 6 months prior to taking delivery.

Yep that’s it. Corporate fleet programs state you can not use the BMWCCA on top. I would imagine BMW verifies before BMWCCA payout.

You are correct, they won't give you the rebate if you use the corporate discount.

We're going to do the PCD and drive it home from the factory so it really doesn't matter where I buy it. I'll be calling the folks in Allentown in the morning. I'm ready to order as soon as one of the dealers makes me feel like they want my business. This will be BMW #8 and it has been very disheartening that even dealers from whom we previously bought won't offer any discount whatsoever.

If you have a CA that treated you well PM me their name & yours. Hopefully they'll send you a reward for the referral.

I think it's a great deal. Why not take advantage of this opportunity if you have a person with such an offer?. Although it may be necessary to think a little more because it's a lot of money. I constantly buy everything cheaper using discounts and coupons from different stores. Lately, I really love the bandwagonhost coupons service. Of course, you can't buy a car there, but there are many excellent shops and services for which you can get a good discount. In your place, I would not refuse such an offer, although it is probably worth considering the possibility that you may be deceived.

X5 order

Doing a PCD and drive it home from factory, so can order from anywhere. Anyone have any good leads on a dealer that is offering to build at MSRP or offer discount? Preferably in CA, but can be anywhere. If the deal is right ready to get it done now.

Thanks
